The below video is in Korean (translated captions will give you an idea of what's being said) but talks about a cheating scandal that surfaced recently. It does not involve Ina Yoon but they managed to find a way to beat her up anyways because ratings.
If I understand correctly, there was a qualification event for lower tier Korean players just before the We've Championship. Three of the players who were paired together conspired to add birdies to all of their cards so that they could advance to the finals. Since the people in your group are required to keep you honest, if all three agree to violate the rules and keep quiet, there is no safeguard against cheating. One caddie ratted them out and they were DQed.
What makes this interesting is that it involved three players working together to cheat, and it would have had real world consequences had they gotten away with it.
They insist on bringing Ina Yoon in and talking about her situation, trying I guess to blame her somehow for the moral decay of the tour or some such nonsense. Ina's act and this scandal are not remotely the same thing. Ina's illegal act did not help her or hurt anyone else; she still missed the cut by a lot. It was also not a trick she had planned from the beginning, it just happened, whereas the conspiracy of those three must have involved planning beforehand. Just the fact that THREE people conspired together makes this far more worrisome. But hey, kicking Ina has become a favorite sport for some people.
