Pre-event interviews.
Min Byeol Kim and Rookie leader Hyun Jo Yoo are in the second group, at around the ten minute mark.
Da Been Heo and Hyun Kyung Park are at the 20 minute mark. Da Been got a sunburn and had to receive treatment (!).
Ina Yoon and Youmin Hwang at the 30 minute mark. INA!!! (fascinating tidbit: Youmin is a month older than Ina, even though she was rookie a year later. Hwang turned 21 a week ago, Ina will turn 21 on May 3rd).
Da Yeon Lee and Yewon Lee at the ~43 minute mark.

Round 1
Mediocre start for Ina and Yewon. A lot of players shooting in the 1 to 3 under range. Shin Sil Bang wasn't too bothered by the time zone change, as she is on the leaderboard one back.
Q Baek needs to hit the range. Her sudden unexpected return to action puts her in last place.

Hyun-kyung and Yewon are both with Pearly Gates, so it isn't shocking at all that Hyun-kyung was essentially wearing the same skirt Yewon was wearing on Wednesday.

I love Q's bucket hat and whole outfit, really. It's always fun when someone wears something a bit different. It has me looking forward to seeing what she'll wear tomorrow.
Ina had an odd round. In the last tournament, her final round was terrible because she hit a bunch of wayward shots. Today she was by and large accurate, usually hit greens, and just didn't make many putts. Even the shots of hers they showed on the broadcast were decent birdie tries that just didn't go. Hopefully she can fine tune things and do great tomorrow. She's still only 7 back.
Two players who kinda slipped under the radar but played well were Carrie Park and Jee Hyun Ahn. Hope they get more coverage tomorrow so we can see what they are doing well; both have been inconsistent the past year or so.

I just turned on the broadcast to see Ina Yoon make her sixth birdie on the back nine on eighteen.
She also had two on the front nine. no bogeys
Good to see short driving Gyeol Park up there near the top.
She said she tried to get longer off the tee but decided it was not for her.
So she decided to work on her short game and mid to long irons, or hybrids.

Yes, Ina is on FIRE! 8 under par today, vaulting her up to 7 under and the hunt. Everything seemed to be working for her today: irons, driving, and especially putting. Awesome to see!
Min Byeol hasn't been quite as solid, but she's 1 under and five under total at the moment with one hole to play. Da Been Heo is at 7 under and Shin Sil is having a strong day as well. This is getting interesting!

Min Byeol made a birdie on the last and finished at 6 under, currently five back. Shin Sil is blazing, 6 under for the day and tied for the lead at 11 under with Min Kyung Choi, who is also 6 under for the day. Some great young players on the leaderboard. Yewon will have some work to do in the afternoon; she's on the cut line at 1 under to start the day.

Mighty Mite Seung Yeon Lee minus six today minus eight for the Tournament.
Hee Jeong Lim has nine holes left to avoid another missed cut.
She had only three bogeys in twenty-seven holes but had only two birdies.
She really needs to find a way to get in contention soon or she will keep getting poor pairings.
It's a lot easier to play with good players so you can feed off them.
Good news though Min Ji Park is moving up the Leaderboard.
Also hoping that Min Byeol Kim have a good third round to keep me interested.

In one group for Saturday we have Da Been Heo, Jeongmin Moon and Jee Hyun Ahn. I'm guessing the photogs are gonna love that one.
Fun leaderboard in general. Bang is pulverizing the course right now, but will she be able to keep it up? Min Ji Park is trying to get back on track. Gyeol Park has never won a Major. Hyun Kyung has won this Major twice already. Min Byeol and Ina are lurking and can be explosive, as Ina showed today. Popular players like Jae Hee Kim, Youmin Hwang, and Hyo Ju You are also in the chasing pack. Also Su Ji Kim, a proven winner.
Could be a great weekend!

Hee Jeong Lim had a triple bogey to add to her tough start to the year.
She was so excited to start the year injury free, it's a mystery what happened.
I hope the young talented golfer can regain her confidence and turn it around soon.
Hopefully Min Ji Park, Min Byeol Kim and Su Ji Kim can give me a reason to care about the Tournament.
Also, Ga Young Lee another one of my favorites missed the cut.
