Great win by Sei Young Kim 6@5 and good win by Narin An one up. They both have tough matches in Quarter Finals

Missed the morning action while traveling, but was able to check the leaderboard online occasionally. It would have been great to see Moriya and Angel come out on top of their matches. On the other hand, wasn't it great to see BOTH SISTERS MAKE THE SEMIFINALS! (Where they have not gotten off to the best start... but that's why they play 18 holes... well, not necessarily in match play...)

Shout to Narin An five down through nine holes but kept fighting . Good job by both she and Sei Young Kim for a third-place tie. Unless they have to play for third place

Really nice work by Moriya to make the knockout stage although she will have her hands full with Leona. Ciganda's 85 was absurd. I doubt she will ever win on the LPGA again.Carlota would likely be happy with two accomplishments. Win the Solheim again, with more help from teammate Leona of course... Win the Evian and deck those two guys at the trophy ceremony...

Maybe it's the Korean Jr. team that should hire Tiff Joh.

Come on Leona, get an early blow in for the Solheim Cup I am cheering for Leona too, today, I'll support USA in the Solheim of course. But cheering for Nelly is like cheering for the New York Yankees or Dallas Cowboys...

I know most people on here will be rooting against Nelly for various reasons, but if you want to see the LPGA grow, Nelly winning today will be important. Can you imagine the rating for the Chevron if Nelly goes there trying to win 5 in a row?

Congrats to Nelly Korda, four wins in her last four events.
My daughter is a birthday-mate to Jin Young Ko, born the same day, month, and year. When she was four, the Chicago Cubs (amazingly) went on a thirteen game win streak early in the baseball season. I turned on the tv one afternoon and made some kind of offhand comment like, "Let's see how the Cubs are doing today." My daughter immediately replied, "Daddy, the Cubs ALWAYS win!"
There may be some four year old golf fans out there today telling their fathers, "Daddy, Nelly Korda ALWAYS wins!"

Now it's the drive for five. An ugly duckling with a personality to match.

I have been a Nelly fan for some time now. Primarily it is her swing action I admire. But then also, the white Namdalla if you will. She may not say things like shut up and attack, but that vibe is there. And she is different you have to admit. So far she has not let the GIC make a cutie patootie fool out of her. Considering her status--young, blonde, tall, svelte (and let's face it ostensibly hetero-normative) American who is dominating the game, things could be way worse right now. We as Seoul Sister fans should never forget her repping a Korean bank at the start of her career. That was awesome and said a lot about her independence.
