It runs March 15-17. Has the KLPGA been in Thailand before? I'm guessing yes, but I'm too lazy to confirm that.
Blue Canyon GC (Blue Canyon course) is rated #6 in Thailand by the top-100 golf course website. Quite a few comments posted about it ... the general drift is that it used to be top-notch long ago, but has noticeably gone downhill since then.
Only a field of 72, which includes 12 invites (11 of them are Thais). A few of the Thais are ex-LPGA washouts ... that does NOT include Yubol ... she could win here ... why not, she beat China's 'A' list on its home turf (and everyone else) at the Asian Games.
Ga Eun Song wasn't kidding when she said she planned to play the JLPGA and KLPGA this year ... she'll fly in from Singapore for this one, then go to Japan the following week.

No time for anything.
Players in Singapore flew straight to Thailand surely.

To be clear, Yubol beat a team of three teenage Korean amateurs at the Asian Games. Here she will be facing the full cream of the KLPGA pros. Night and day difference.

Jae Hee Kim spent strokes and money trying to get out of a bunker at the par-5 11th ... where she just made a triple ... the pond near this green has brown water (maybe an optical illusion?).
Kongraphran is being shown ... an ex-LPGA hustler who plays the Asian pineapple tours.
Jeong Mi Hwang and Iron Cho are tied for first at -5, but haven't received any TV time ... I can't wait for that, I'm going back to bed ... some of us have to get up in the morning.

Hee Jeong Lim had another over par first round. She will be just fine, I hope soon. She needs to start contending, that's the only way that she will get on the broadcast.
I didn't watch the first round but will watch the second because of A Yean Cho and Jeong Mee Hwang

They showed Ayean on the final hole (they pronounced her name ehh-on (like the Risk Reward), not the correct way, which is EYE-on; see what happens when we don't correct A Lim Kim's pronunciation?). Great to see her on a leaderboard. Jeong Mee Hwang was also shown playing 9, her final hole, but she kind of bungled that one and made bogey.
Min Byeol Kim got a lot of coverage. It's hard to see why she didn't play better. Tee to green she looked good, although she did end up in a few fairway bunkers. She was missing a lot of makeable birdie putts by a smidge (makeable = less than 8 feet). Then she would miss a green and not get up and down. So I guess I'm saying she needs to work on her short game a little. But I'm not too concerned; she has only played outside of Korea so far this year, and she's still learning how to do that.
On 11, Jae Hee took two shots to get out of the bunker, and when she did, the ball went straight up in the air and landed about five feet past the bunker, still not on the green. Ouch!
The mystery Thai woman commentator was asked by Kate Burton what impressed her the most about the Koreans? She replied, "well, the way they look". LOL. She then credited their uncanny accuracy off the tee.

Hee Jeong Lim didn't do much better than first round at plus one today. Hopefully she can have a really good Final Round.
Min Ji Park rebounded with a great round of minus seven.
Min Byeol Kim got worst with two birdies an eagle and six bogeys.

Woke up on my own, so I turned on SBS Golf ... Cho and Hwang in the spotlight and they are going right down the drain. That par-3 14th "island" green is nothing like #17 at Sawgrass, but it's just as tough. Actually, #14 is superior because you have a chance to recover from the water if you're ball is close enough to the green ... Hye Lim Jo got a face wash with two hacks out of the water, but did get the ball on the green.
Fascinating that the Thai who might win is someone nobody ever heard of before ... maybe she grew up on this course.
