The tournament has started.
The first groups have teed off.
I heard it rained during the night. I suspect the delay was fog. There's an actual river next to the course.
Fog I think.

Hannah Darling (-6), who bombed out of Fir Hills, leads by one stroke after Round One. The cut is top-30 plus ties after Round Two.
TaylorMade likes to issue event-related bags ... this one belongs to Eila Galitsky(-5) ...
... Asterisk Talley (E) also received one ...
... and ditto for The Tigress (-2)

Doesn't it seem like Lindblad and Avery have been going to their respective schools for seven years straight? When are they going to move on with their lives?

Min Sol Kim shot a 68 on the KLPGA and is on the leaderboard, three behind the leader. Nuff said.

Min Sol Kim shot a 68 on the KLPGA and is on the leaderboard, three behind the leader. Nuff said. Minsol could have won this, which would have boosted her worldwide profile above the rest of the r*b*ts. Canuck Longhorn Lauren Kim is +1 with five holes left on Thursday ... projected cut is +3.

Doesn't it seem like Lindblad and Avery have been going to their respective schools for seven years straight? When are they going to move on with their lives? Lindblad is one of many players who took advantage of the Covid 5th season furnished by the NCAA. The Tigress is a junior at USC.

Lottie Woad (-5) leads by two strokes going into Friday. I looked her up ... shooting exactly 70.00 during 2023-24 at Florida State, which is super at that level, but it is too early for comparisons to The Kup Show or The Zhangster. The cut was +3 and 35 players made it.
Another TM/August bag with Megha Ganne (E)
Anna Davis (second from right) picked up a one-stroke penalty for slow play and missed the cut by one stroke.

Bailey Three is playing crazy golf ... six birdies, no bogeys ... leads by one shot, but is six holes ahead of Woad, so it may not last.

Not getting the love for Woad's swing ... she's long for sure, but her wicked re-routing or change of direction is starting to send her ball all over the joint. Needs to pick up two strokes in her last four holes, good luck with that. Lindblad has a much more standard, reliable swing, but she is also two shots back and is running out of holes.
Trying to picture Bailey Three's backswing with another ladies player ... someone else does it the same, but I'm drawing a blank mentally ... it'll come to me eventually.
Jasmine Koo had two eagles today ... is a commit to USC. She was at Mizuho last year, but I don't remember her.

Gutsy comeback by Woad without a playoff.

A win for England 🏴. No idea who she is but good to know we may have some new talent to back up Hull and Hall. She had to birdie the last 2 holes so well done to her!
