Good, I'm glad that they actually went through with the Se Ri Pak Open naming as I reported they would a month or so ago. I absolutely expect Se Ri to be there.
I also read that they are increasing the purse for the CME to $11 million, with a first place prize of $4 million.

Se Ri deserves a better tournament. Lousy location and fan unfriendly. Maybe Toledo is more appropriate.

Any views on best US course on 2024 schedule. It will cost a lot for me to fly across the pond these days. I’m likely to stick to going to the Evian and St.Andrew’s.

If you get a good deal flying into the Philly Airport, Google Maps says it's 65.5 miles for the most direct drive to Lancaster CC (USWO).

Overall, I like the schedule.
Since they played in Shanghai, the Blue Bay tournament should be a go.
Undoubtably due to the Olympics, the Amundi Evian has been placed early and away from the rest of the European swing.
Could be very hot in Portland in early August.
I'm impressed with the $4 million winner's check for the CME. They were saying on the broadcast it would be the largest single payout in women's sports.
For me, since the KPMG is in my backyard, I will be attending that one.

Thanks Phil - that's a good shout out especially as Lancaster CC is prime Dumbo territory.

Seville is just a few blocks from my home. It's a private club so I have not played there. An odd place to hold an event. It's in a residential development with no major hotels or resorts near by. Nice clubhouse but nothing else. Friends who have played there haven't said much about the course. I guess it is ok.
My sense is after LPGA moved The Founders Cup they are searching for a venue. (Ditto for Palm Springs after they dumped the Dinah Shore) We've got 150 golf courses in The Valley. Too bad one of the great courses doesn't want them. They are used to hosting big events. The NCAA Championships just concluded a 3 year run at Greyhawk. Silverleaf is home to John Rahm and other pro's. Phoenix CC is home to the Charles Schwab Cup. Of course The Waste Management Open at TPC Scottsdale is one of the biggest sporting events in N. America and draws 600,000+ fans. Would love to see the ladies stepping up on #16 in front of 50,000 screaming fans. Come on LPGA step up your game.

I played Seville once about twenty or twenty-five years ago. I believe it was simi-private to get golfers to play in the 90 to 100-degree temperature in the summer. There was something unique about it, but I don't recall what it was.

Big change to the format:
The LPGA returns to Shadow Creek Golf Course April 1-7, 2024! The 96-player field will compete in a stroke play format on Wednesday and Thursday. After Thursday’s round, the field will be cut to the top-65 players and ties. Friday’s round will continue the stroke play format with the top-8 players advancing to the weekend. Saturday, the event will transition to a single elimination match play format with the quarterfinals and semifinals taking place. Sunday, the Championship Match will be hosted in the same single elimination match play format.
The Players Challenge, a nine-hole charity match featuring National Football League (NFL) stars, will return for its second year and will be played Sunday, April 7 prior to the championship match. More information on this event will be announced at a later date.
