Due to the super bunny setup, Amy shot two of the best rounds of her career and still is only tied for the lead. She seems to be in the zone, but can she possibly do it again? I figure the winning score will be at the worst 25 under, but who knows how low it could go? I'm always skeptical of her closing kick, but hey, she has a great chance to get a win, she obviously likes the course, and she is way overdue. Go get 'em Amy! Hwaiting!  Other than her, not much to be happy about. But Hyo Joo still has an outside chance of getting the Vare. I figure she needs to get to at least 18 under, because she probably needs a two stroke margin on Thitikul. Then again, it might finally be time for Thitikul to have a mediocre round, who knows. In any event, think 64, Hyo Joo! I don't expect it, but I'd love to be surprised. Sisters hwaiting! |

Well, it's not Angel Yin anytime recently! It's either someone else or maybe it's Angel about ten or twelve years ago when she was in middle school, dreaming of being in the LPGA and wearing a sponsor's hat...
Angel's not anywhere near the leaders this weekend. She's not horribly uncompetitive; she's tied with #1 Boutier going into Sunday.

My 3 tournament picks before a ball was hit were Minjee, Lilia and Brooke - currently T5, T7 and T7. I'm not sure Amy, Nasa or Alison are known for their killer instinct in the final round so I still think the ladies -16 and lower could all win it. Hence I'm sticking with Minjee to go on blast later today.

My apologies for sticking my inquiry into this thread. I saw this post by Angel as I was about to go to bed and wanted to act quickly myself. I didn't realize until after I logged off my computer last night that it should have been placed in the 19th hole folder. I figured I would beg forgiveness this morning. Angel also posted footage of her practicing after night fell which would have been appropriate for this thread.
The picture is definitely not Angel at any age. It's some obscure Korean player with a QCells sponsor.
Back to the tourney. Amy Yang just tied it at -23. She stumbled a bit out of the gate but has righted the ship.

Amy Yang hole out for eagle! That's what I'm talking about! Even if that hadn't rolled in by snapping back, she would have had a pretty short birdie try. Nervous for her!

Wow, Amy played the 17th hole brilliantly. Put her ball in the right place and nearly holed out for eagle again.
Meanwhile, Nasa has crumbled with two short putt misses. Amy just needs to put this on the green on 18 and the win is hers!
