It looks very cold. When does the KLPGA season end? This is the final event of the season. However, there is a special event next week, and events in December meant towards the 2024 season (these are usually in warm places like Vietnam). |

Nin Byeol Kim and Min Ji Park bounced back a little with a minus one score.
There may be no Final Round charge if the course plays as hard as last year.
Min Ji Park won with minus nine mainly because of minus seven second round.
Ji Min2 Jung sixty nine was the only score in the sixties Final Round last year,

As I mentioned above, this was Jin Hee Im's fourth win of the year, meaning that she stole a little spotlight from Yewon, who had three wins, and thus became the winningest player on tour in 2023. She'll be getting an official award for this at the award show in a few weeks. Her performance was something else. This course was NOT set up for "excitement", in the LPGA parlance, but was actually challenging. Only six players ended up breaking par. Somehow Im managed to shoot 16 under in three rounds. Maybe because she had the 2nd best score in round one and the best in rounds 2 and 3? But see, I look at this and think she did something truly amazing. The players shooting roughly the same total in Florida? Not so much. In any event, I think she is ready for different challenges. Yewon had a rotten start to the week and still nearly carded a top ten; Min Byeol had an even worse start and finished t-14th. It's fun to watch these stars not settle and try to get back into the hunt. It feels like the KLPGA and the media have decided they are going to focus on Youmin Hwang more than Kim. In the past week, there have been multiple articles and videos on Hwang, while nothing focusing on Min Byeol in the same period as she closed in on an impressive Rookie of the Year. And it WAS impressive: staving off two great players with the second highest rookie point total in history despite no wins. Yes, she had no wins, unlike her rivals. But neither did Yewon last year. Here's an example: Instead of an article about Kim, it's about all three. Hopefully this will be corrected soon now that she has the ROY. |
