The Se Ri Pak World Match took place on the 7th of this month in Pusan. Retired superstars of the game such as Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, Laura Davies, Amy Alcott, Michelle Wie and of course Se Ri joined Ha Neul Kim, Na Yeon Choi, Ya Ni Tseng and Grace Park and more. They were teamed with non-golf athletic stars such as Tae-Hwan Park (swimming), Dong Guk Lee (soccer) and several other Olympic stars.
Se Ri says: "This year, I held a junior tournament in Korea with Annika Sorestam for the first time, and next year I plan to hold a tournament on the LPGA Tour under my name," said Pak, "I plan to continue to create conditions for juniors to play golf in a better environment."
A new LPGA event named after Se Ri!!!! More details:
The LPGA Tour Pak tournament is reportedly scheduled to be held in March next year in the Palm Springs, California, United States. The exact name of the tournament has not yet been confirmed, but officials say that there is no great disagreement about including the name of Pak Se-ri. The title sponsor is Mind Capital Group (MCG), an investment company. MCG participated as a sub-sponsor in the Pak World Match last year, and this year as the title sponsor.
Na Yeon Choi won the event teamed with "tennis legend" Hyun Taek Lee. Second place was Karrie Webb/Taek So Kim (table tennis).
After the game, Lee Hyung-taek said, "Thank you so much for inviting me to such a great event. It was very nice to be able to breathe together with the sports seniors and juniors like this," he said, adding, "I made a lot of mistakes today, but I was able to win because Choi Na-yeon covered all the mistakes."
