This week is a three round LET event sponsored by the ubiquitous Saudi oil company Aramco. It consists of a normal 3 round event and a two-round team event. The teams will have three pros and one amateur. Among those participating are World #1 Lilia Vu and world #3 Jin Young Ko. Other LPGA stars include: Xiyu Lin and Muni He, Rose Zhang and Alison Lee, plus a bunch of Euros who play on both the LPGA and the LET. Here's the tournament page

Was The New Ko in a rush to get dressed?
*******
The 'TTC' on the guy's shirt stands for "The Tour Coach" ... Tiff Chan (2.300 CME points) needs all the help she can get.

I have not been able to figure out how to show an individual scoreboard on their dumb webpage, just the team one. I couldn't give two effs about the team result, I want to see how Jin Young is doing individually. She shot a 3 under par round today, not bad, but I can't tell if her 11 under is the lead or what. So irritating.

The home page shows the team scores as a default ... but notice there is a little tab in the upper left for individual scores ... click that and you'll get them.

The main page now has a link, but that wasn't there until they put up the screen showing the final team result. LeaderboardAnyways, looks like this is the leaderboard after round 2: 1 Jin Young Ko (KOR) -11 65 70 135 - Xi Yu Lin (CHN) -11 69 66 135 3 Anne Van Dam (NED) -10 67 69 136 4 Stephanie Kyriacou (AUS) -9 69 68 137 - Nuria Iturrioz (ESP) -9 68 69 137 6 Lisa Pettersson (SWE) -7 71 68 139 Notables: 8 Lilia Vu (USA) -4 73 69 142 - Tiffany Chan (HKG) -4 71 71 142 11 Alison Lee (USA) -3 71 72 143 A bit of a crappy finish to Ko's round, with two late bogies. It looks like she missed her first fairway of the week on the final hole today and also made bogey there. She also missed four greens on the back nine after only missing two greens her first 27 holes (!). But she still has a good chance to win this, for what it's worth. Hwaiting!

Because of an impending typhoon, the third round was canceled. Which meant a playoff between Xi Yu Lin and Jin Young Ko. Would Jin Young be able to make up for losing a playoff to Khang just a couple of months ago?
Well, unfortunately not. Luck once again was not on Jin Young's side when Lin made this ridiculous putt on the second playoff hole, in the pouring rain, to win:
Oh well, Jin Young still got a nice vacation, a doubtless large appearance check, and a runner up check as well. Hope she's feeling confident for the coming events that actually matter. Hwaiting!

Here is the playoff. Looked absolutely miserable. Not Jin Young's week. Literally the only hole she struggled with all week was the one they had the playoff on -- the 18th. And she didn't do well on either hole of the playoff. She bogied it in round 2 or she would have won outright. Then she messes up the first playoff hole when even a mediocre second would have given her the win there.
Ah well, it was a great week in the other two events I was following...
