Man Bun and Woman Bun will be making some money on Sunday.👍🏻
*******
Mack Attack drove it 308+ this week ... and is heading for the airport tonight.
*******
You'll miss all the rookie excitement by the time GC kicks in at 2 PM ET ... Yuna torched the place before stalling out, allowing Big Ryu to pass her.
*******
The EMP gagged with a 75, dropping her to -2 ... still on the cut line, but for how long? So many birdies out here, it might go to -3. MHL doesn't start for another 30 minutes ... needs to break 70 for absolute safety.
*******
Anyone know if the ROK netizens have started calling BadA$$ a "loser" yet? Taking preemptive action now with 5 birdies on #12 thru #17 ... and #18 is a par 5.

That company Beanpole Golf ought to sign up Grace Kim.

Six birdied two of the last three holes and looks like she'll make the cut at minus-3! Not really a great day for her but she survived to play on Sunday and maybe move up the board a little bit...

Unreal, them still trying to make Maria Fassi happen. This was, of course, predictable... ... Whom will we see on Saturday afternoon... the threesome of Thitikul, (the old) Ko, and Kang. Also... Fassi, Hannah Green, and our currently CME #5 SISTER Hyo Joo... ok, Fassi and Green will attract cameras, Hyo Joo will need to shoot minus-3 or better on her first nine to get on tv. But I will cut GC some slack this week. This is basically a home tournament for Maria. She went to Arkansas. She supports all kinds of causes in the area. Her golf was good on Saturday, but a lot of her tv coverage was human interest stories on her community support.
And Hyo Joo did shoot minus-3 on her first nine which were the back nine... and they did show her in addition to Fassi and Green.

Hae Ran! Jenny! The revival of Sei Young! Eun-Hee! And the list goes on... eleven of eighteen sisters will play on Sunday... three of them in the top five... four of them in the top ten... And they did it without Jin Young!

haneymademedoit Do you think Rose Zhang would miss the cut this week like Alexa Pano? Had Rose entered, I would have given Alexa the advantage based upon being rested while Rose traveled and competed in Solheim. But it's possible that Rose still might have made the cut if she had entered, and Alexa clearly did not make the cut. So who knows?
Of course, the question could be turned around. Had Alexa somehow been on the Solheim team last week, which would have been a totally crazy choice, would she have only won 0.5 points like Rose did? I'm not dissing Rose who appears to have the potential to be great and has already accomplished something that had not been done in decades. My Alexa/Rose comparisons are a reaction to the fact that some golfers are media favorites while others barely get attention. It's certainly true of the sisters that we follow on this board, true of some other international golfers, and in the case of Alexa and quite a few others, even true of many American golfers.

Hae Ran Ryu round 1 interview -- in ENGLISH! Way to go kid!
And round 2
Sei Young round 2
Great day for Sei Young and Hae Ran. This course is playing so easy that anything can happen, but good luck to them and Jenny tomorrow!

Hae Ran Ryu round 1 interview -- in ENGLISH! Way to go kid! And round 2 Sei Young round 2 Great day for Sei Young and Hae Ran. This course is playing so easy that anything can happen, but good luck to them and Jenny tomorrow! Loved Hae Ran's interview! It is always touching to see one of the sisters, especially a rookie with little experience with the English language, have the courage to do an interview without an interpreter. Her English is so much better than my (nonexistent) Korean; Spanish and French are more than challenging enough for me!
God bless America, "you want to talk to me, then speak English!" My grandmother emigrated from Europe after WWI in 1920; she lived in the US for nearly six decades until her death in 1978 but refused to speak English for all of her living days. In those days, people lived in neighborhoods with many others of their own ethnic group and they still do today. Just different groups. Clearly my grandmother understood English after hearing it for decades but stubbornly refused to speak it. Of course my grandfather had a job to support the family, he was a laborer who worked in a steel mill in Chicago, his English was accented but fine, understandable enough. He died when I was 10 or 11 but I understood every word that he spoke to me.
One time when I was about five, he and my grandmother must have been babysitting for my mom, he took me to a bar or tavern around the corner from their house on the next street. I remember thinking that it was dark and it smelled funny inside the tavern (beer or alcohol) but my grandfather bought me a Hershey chocolate bar while he was drinking, I think a shot and a beer. Still have a happy memory almost six decades later! What five year old kid doesn't enjoy a Hershey bar! (Phil, have you ever been to Hershey for the plant 'tour' or presentation? Dauphin County?)
One of my favorite videos on lpga.com is Jeongeun Lee6 giving her acceptance speech for the Suggs ROY award in 2019. If you have never seen it, watch the video at www.lpga.com/videos/2019/jeongeun-lee6-accepts-2019-louise-suggs-rolex-rookie-of-the-year . She begins speaking at 1:14 of the video, after the announcer says, "and I believe Jeongeun Lee6, you're going to say a few words? Maybe not?", and she continues for just over two minutes. I could not speak Korean for two seconds. Not zero seconds! Six!
Good luck to all the sisters on Sunday! When's the last time that all of the four final pairs on Sunday included a sister! HF, I am believing that we will all be happy on Sunday afternoon... I believe so much...

And for starters, someone plugged in Six! Best Sunday she's had in a long time. Clean scorecard with seven birdies.
Five must be all over the course or something. She's minus-4 on the day after only seven holes. Two bogeys, four birdies, and an eagle.
Sisters!

I’m now in Brisbane, Australia visiting friends for first time in 7 years (lived/worked here 2010-13) so it’s back to my Monday morning catch up on sport in the US/U.K. Ryder Cup back in European hands and it could be a Korean sister who wins. Happy for any of them but I’d love to see Jenny Shin win after so many years. Seems to be in a good place. Getting drunk after the pro-am is obviously the way to go!
