A survey of like 70 KLPGA players don't want Ina penalty reduced. Not ONE KLPGA player wanted it reduced.

Wow, that's really disappointing. She's going to get a frosty reception if she comes back to the tour next year. More reason that she should have just left the tour and tried for the LPGA last year. TBH, though, if she does return, I think it won't take long for the players to get over it.
The latest news has announced that the final decision will be coming on the 14th of December, just two days from now.

I haven't been able to find any articles that talk about the poll of the other players except this one. If this is what you meant, I wouldn't be too worried. This is one of those sportswriters who has it in for Ina. You can tell based on lines like Be wary of sentences like 'accusations have emerged'. That's one of those non-specific statements like 'people say' that politicians use when they don't have any actual evidence... The fact he doesn't actually quote any of those accusations tells you that he means 'he and his friend have accused' and that's good enough for him. His next sentence is a paranoid fantasy: Because suspending someone for more than a year is not the kind of punishment that will dissuade someone from cheating? Please. And of course, again this is a future thing, not something that has happened ever. He then talks about the opinions of the other players and the secret poll. Again, he is vague. He says a survey took place in October (two months ago) that was secret and *apparently* (his words) everyone was "reluctant" to have her come back. He quotes : Well, yeah, she was kind of bum rushed off the tour, she was going to do an apology tour at that moment? She has certainly apologized a LOT since then. She practically wore sack cloth and ashes to her humiliating appearance at KLPGA HQ. Need I also point out that no less than Se Ri Pak ON THE RECORD stated that she welcomed Ina back and hoped she would be able to provide excitement and entertainment for the fans going forward. Look, I have no doubt that Ina has a lot of work to do to get back the trust and affection of her fellow golfers. If she does get allowed back on tour next year, that's only the beginning of the challenges she's going to face. But these kind of hatchet job articles are a waste of time. And I can't help but think he's hoping he can influence the board before they make their decision tomorrow.

I don't think they should reduce the penalties and so they shouldn't make the penalties that long. It's stupid. It shows they are emotional fools and not following any genuine rules.
We are emotionally hurt so here is a 3 year ban. Now we are emotionally sympathy so we will allow you back reducing your penalty to time served. It's stupid.
It's all fear from public scrutiny. It's just irrational and irrational public too. The whole thing stinks.
Yoon Ina is almost irrelevant. Reason is irrelevant. What are they doing in these meetings? We are scared of the public. We have to make it look like we are angry and following rules. Here is your 3 year ban. But I'm sorry. You're irrelevant. Come back if 18 months and we'll let you back after the irrational public has calmed down.

I think the logic is, we'll give her a huge penalty and see how she reacts. If she does everything we tell her to do ('reflect', don't go to another tour, do charitable acts, etc.), we'll consider reducing the penalty. Then we look good. 'Time off for good behavior' they call it in the legal system. But if she doesn't do what we asked, hell with her, no reduction. They made the penalty extra-big to incentivize her to do what they said. Of course, in my opinion, the overreaction of the original penalty reduces the effectiveness of this strategy.
I really hope Ina gets good news tomorrow...

Oh my fricking God, they refused to decide AGAIN!!!! Punishment Reduction Proposal to Be Tabled Until Next YearWhat a bunch of useless idiots... Sigh... Reading between the lines, it looks like even the Punishment Board is suggesting that they reduce the penalty, but these nitwits on the board couldn't make up their mind to do it.

Yes, that seems to be the latest excuse, one that they never mentioned until this point. Meanwhile, whenever I go to an article or video about this case, the comments seems to always skew very much towards letting her come back (I'd guess 3:1 in favor).
So, I have no doubt that the KLPGA is worried that there is negative public sentiment, but that's going to be the case no matter how long they wait to bring her back. I mean, how will she be MORE dissuaded from cheating if she serves three years than 1.5 years suspension? And are these people who dislike her now going to suddenly like her a year and a half from now? Highly doubt it.
Meanwhile, thousands of fans signed petitions to bring her back. To me, it's a slam dunk. But what can you do?
