Usually the LPGA leaderboard page has the local tournament time... although in recent weeks it has sometimes been wrong such as Portland where it consistently showed EDT (GMT-4) as the local time not PDT (GMT-7). But the Solheim results page is not showing local time, so I googled to find Andalusia is GMT+2, or six hours ahead of EDT. The telecast window begins at 2:00 am EDT so Lexi and Megan will tee off at 2:10. I gotta work early in the morning so can't stay up too long, I'm a night owl but suffer with fewer than four hours of sleep. Hoping that Lexi will get some redemption in the Solheim. For years Lexi has been hyped to high heaven but this time there is not the pressure of high expectations, no one is expecting anything from her, except for Stacy Lewis... GO LEXI AND MEGAN!

Bad start for Europe. Expected better from Linn Grant. Easy putt on 17th to stay in the match and misses. Lexi and Megan win their match.

Justin Ray with the data and Stacy Lewis at the helm. It’s a Ray Lewis crushing.

Justin Ray with the data and Stacy Lewis at the helm. It’s a Ray Lewis crushing. Until the afternoon matches... seemed like Europe could not miss pulling off miracle shots on the back nine... complete with Pedersen's ace. It's looking very competitive as everyone thought.
Best to be done with Lexi’s round while everyone is still sleeping in the states. But maybe Lewis sees something she likes in Thompson’s game. As someone who bought a 1/2 box of pull tabs before I believe in betting a hunch. I'd hoped to watch a bit of the morning foursomes but fell asleep before 2:00 am. Just before leaving for work, I turned on the broadcast as the first golfers were starting the afternoon fourball and was shocked to see USA ahead 4-0 after the morning.
Later I saw that Lexi and Megan had won the first three holes. Can't say that they never looked back, Maja and Linn eventually fought back to even but then Lexi and Megan finished things. Apparently the Lexi hunch was on target. I did see the last six holes or so in the afternoon and Lexi looked good except for whatever happened out of the tall grass on 18.

The good news... I managed to stay up till 2:00 am EDT (GMT-4) to watch the Saturday morning matches, at least the first few holes. After I go to sleep then wake up in my own morning, I'll catch the end of the afternoon matches.
The bad news... Lexi put her tee shot on the first hole in the water!
But I just try to keep repeating my two mantras.
"In Stacy we trust."
"Lilia Vu, I love you!"

Being in the UK my weekend viewing is sorted. Must admit I only switch on when groups are on the back nine. TV coverage always shows any earlier highlights of the rounds so far. I’m glad I’m not there. Crowds dressed up as bananas-not my thing!

I am definitely not a night owl so I catch only most of the afternoon action. Happy to see Angel Yin contribute to getting the single point the US scrounged up. Europe was lights out with their putting prowess.

My LPGA leaderboard page is currently showing a banner ad for the 2024 Solheim, hawking tickets for the event at the RTJ Golf Club in suburban DC, northern VA. I've also seen some commercials for it on the tv broadcasts during the current Solheim and occasionally even in previous weeks during LPGA broadcasts.
Four faces shown in the ad, can you guess who they are? (Maybe the same banner is showing for you too?)
Two that we would expect, Nelly and Rose, with the captain Stacy between them. So who's the fourth, actually she's the first since English like most but not all languages reads from left to right. Are you guessing Lexi? That's who I would have expected. But no, it's not Lexi, it's Lilia Vu!
I cannot express how happy and yes, how vindicated I feel, that Lilia is currently considered one of the top three faces in USA women's golf. I only question why the sponsors are not flocking to her. Phil pointed out in another tournament thread somewhat recently that the German golfer Polly Mack (?!?) had more sponsor logos on her clothes than Lilia. Angel Yin has the same problem.
And I'm not dissing Lexi, honestly I think that she's been quite successful in the Solheim this weekend. (Please forget what happened on the 18th on Friday!) And I'll give my opinion why Lexi (and Rose) are having success in the Solheim. The media pressure is not on them. It's a team event so the pressure is reduced on any single individual, the way that it would be in a normal tournament. Especially Lexi, people questioned why Stacy put her on the team and no one has expected much for her. She has delivered, not totally but certainly enough to contribute to the team in a positive way. Interesting that Stacy put Lexi in the 'anchor' position on Sunday. Her opponent Pedersen has had a totally hot hand but I will take Lexi on Sunday. "If necessary..."

US on course to win. Hall and Boutier below par this weekend is the difference. Hall blew her singles game today
