This is number three of twenty straight weeks to close out the 2015 season. Again, Bo Mee Lee has an open field to put more distance between herself and Teresa Lu for Points and Prize Money. Jae Eun Chung is back from ROK for this one, but Ha Neul Kim won't be there. It starts Friday...no SBS Golf coverage.

The webcam was not what I expected. I expected to see only driver shots every ten minutes...on the contrary, the 1st hole is a par-3 of 160 yards, and they're showing everything at the tee and on the green. Every shot is getting traced and they've got a video bulls-eye for the putt distances. There's a loud insect racket there, but I think they've turned that sound down. An amateur named Hina Arakaki missed an ace by inches. Soo Yun Kang made a par...she's 39 and is still in pretty good shape. All the top players will be teeing off about an hour from now...gives me time to make a quick run to the supermarket. UPDATE: All the “name” players started their day from the 1st hole. During this time, the grandstand behind the tee was about 30% full, with everyone bunched together on one end. Now I see the “no name” players who started at #10 and are hitting at #1...and the grandstand is empty! An exception to the no names was Young Kim. She missed the green, chipped on to 8-10 feet, and made a left-to-right breaker...prompting the broadcasters to say “Nice putt!” in English (the KLPGA broadcasters say it English, too). If you like funky swings, check out Kumiko Kaneda. She is the most extreme shut club face practitioner I have ever seen (Youtube has samples). Sun Ju Ahn/Momoko Ueda/Erina Hara/Bo Mee Lee Erika Kikuchi and Jae Eun Chung

The webcam is pretty good. Ya, I also noticed the empty grandstand...actually I saw 1 person. I saw two pros using a broomstick. The only other Asian pro I've seen anchor was HYP...she anchored into her gut...but I think it was a short lived experiment in 2012/2013

Is Bo Mee Catholic. She made the sign of the cross before she teed off.

The short answer is Yes. From 2013: It looks like they reshuffled the groups by score for Round Two. The better scores will be starting at #1, while the scrubs will come through later after playing #10 thru #18. Number One is listed at 160, but I don't know if it played at that yardage in Round One. Almost everyone hit irons, but I recall seeing at least two or three utility clubs used.

Speaking of golf swings. Has Yuri Fudoh retired or is she injured. The few times that she played over here. I just loved that wrap around swing of hers. Sakura's is close, but not quite as severe.
I remember when I was in Maui watching some of the Japanese lady golfers. They had swings similar to hers.

As is customary, the JLPGA online scoreboard is frozen while the TV coverage has started in Japan...Bo Mee Lee is frickin' unbelievable...and she started her day by hitting the edge of the cup at #1 on the fly.
