I'm timing the shuttle, it started at 7:10 AM. I thought about getting here MUCH earlier for Su Oh (7:05 start at #10), but it wasn't worth the effort when she's DFL with a teaching pro. Update - she bogeyed #10.😖 Shuttle arrived at 7:31 AM.

Have a side view of Gemma and JTibs on the range ... Penguin Princess gave JTibs a little bow from about 35 feet away.😁 Lewis just showed up ... still with coach Joe Hallett (sp?).

I arrived at the 11th tee as MHL was in the 10th fairway ... hit green and two-putted for par. I greeted Mr. Lee and then she came over and gave a simulated caddie hug. Earlier, LA Pace teed off at #11 ... has a white panel over the name area of her staff bag ... has played only Shoprite/Acer over here, that's it and she's still in 1st ... grouped with Dr. Noh and AL Kim.

A spritz turned into a hard rain, but has eased off for the moment. MHL missed greens at 12 and 14 but saved par. Had short birdie try at #13 and missed.😪 Dr. Noh lost her drive right at #15 and her body slumped in the same direction. Cockerill is following along, but not for her.

I'm guessing par-3 16th is 214 to the middle and slightly downhill. MHL stuck it to 4-5 feet and made first birdie of the day.😀 I'm guessing she hit a 5W. Carries full set of Ping G430 woods/hybrids, except for Cally driver. Probably still has Mizzy MX 90 irons.

WOO-HOO, MHL rolled one in from downtown at #17 for another bird. Drove into right rough at par-5 18th ... ball is sitting DOWN. Looper persuades her to put away iron and take out wedge with the words, "I don't want to screw this up." Hits green with a UT with 3rd shot, going there now. Update - ugh, 3-putt.

That 1st hole is brutal ... par-4. 440. MHL hit high flop shot from off green ... hit near cup, but had no spin j. NM. M8unujm(from the rain?) and took off ... bogey. She just rattled in a par saver at #2 ... her tee shot there abruptly separated two marshals standing in the left rough. Her groug has started #3. Tardy is a big strong player, but not too accurate. She took off her jacket and rain pants while it was raining ... I guess it's no good. No fun for Inky ... she thumped the sand after a bunker shot at #13 and whacked the turf after her approach at #2. All three are outside the +4 cut line, but not a hopeless situation ... yet.

Inky just holed out for birdie from bunker at #3 🤩 ... well, she's had a lot of practice with that SW today. No. 3 is 136 and MHL stuffed it to 8 feet ... AND MADE IT!🤪

Back to par-4 3rd ... MHL reached front of green, but had a long distance uphill putt and took three of them. However, she hit to less than 6 feet at #5 and sank the putt!!! Ugh, missed the fairway right and missed the green left at #6, into bunker ... Rollercoaster golf.🤮 Btw, I saw Lewis tee off at #1 and saw no swarm KPMG blue tee shirts following her like in 2015 ... they have to work this week. Yesss, MHL makes par-saver at #6!

Aigoo, MHL birdied the par-5 7th to go +5, but bogeyed #8 and #9 to finish where started ... at +7. Shooting 71 on a tough layout is still pretty good, but she destroyed herself yesterday. Just watched Shibono Fever bogey #13 to go +8, she's toast ... then she teed off at 14 with Maguire ... and now I got swarmed by The Zhangster mob.

I count only TWO Flying Dumbos following the Chun/DK/Greeny group at #15 ... meaning two guys who are wearing the grey cap with the yellow bill and trim. No elephant hats here.

Joined up with Borge at the 7th tee (483 yds) ... she opened with six straight pars ... two shots off the lead and there are no TV people following her and the camera perch over the green is vacant. BTW, Borge hit the green in two, two-putted and is now -3.😳 Talley and Chella in her group are in a deep hole.

Haven't seen any time warnings issued ... a logjam on 7 thru 9 formed behind the group of HoJo/Boutier/Li ... not technically out of position, but close. Meanwhile, Borge parred #8 and knocked the stick down at the par-3 9th, made another par. They got a guy in the camera tower at 9. Btw, they don't have paper tee sheets for spectators ... instead, they have signs posted where you scan the square barcode to get the tee times on your phone ... forget it, I'll go to the LPGA website.

The scoreboard at 13 has a yellow 'Weather Warning' sign posted on it. I don't know why, it's not raining and I hear no thunder. Sung Hung teed off at #14 and has one official Attack Woman (wearing a Namdalla bucket hat) following her and maybe two unofficial ones as well. Ji and Kemp in same group. I just felt drops, here we go again.

I joined up with Dani H. at #17 ... she's +6 and the cut will be +5 ... just has to pick up one stroke on the last two par fives. She drove into right rough and hit an iron out of there. The other two in group are done like dinner, Schubert and Ines L. Dani was in the front bunker with her third, but splashed to a foot and made par. No. 18 is an easier birdie hole than 17 and she started okay by busting her driver into left-center of fairway. Her second was an iron to left side of fw ... flag on far right ... I saw ball bounce towards flag on her third ... it's hard to see since green is elevated and ropes are far back. I'm in the free pavillon now ... her putt was at least 25 feet and she left it short.😢 More groups are still out there, but I've had enough.
