This week's minor league major will have 38 hours of TV coverage. Next week's major league major with a far superior field will have 26 hours of TV coverage (NBC + GC + Peacock). Women's golf in the U.S. is a joke.
Korean golf shut-in alert - Aside from being cemented into a recliner via their own body perspiration for 38 hours, they'll become thoroughly ossified when they add in the 40.5 hours of The U.S. Open this week ... all of it on SBS Golf ... it'll be crickets over at JTBC Golf.

Wow, Hyun Kyung made eagle on the 16th: 307 yard drive (!), 244 yard approach over water to ten feet, then an eagle putt.

Speaking of national championships, SBS Golf was showing the U.S. Open ... it must have been that Indian tribe in Wisconsin that set up the golf course ... what a joke. There's a conspiracy theory that the USGA wanted to torch the place as further justification for reintroducing a 1960s marshmallow on the golfing public in the near future. If The Old Goofball (fanofseri) is at LACC, we need a report.

Not sure what's up with Hee Jeong Lim.
Her troubles started when she four putted hole seven for double bogey.
Hit in the hazard right on par three eight, went back to tee and missed a bogey putt.
Hit approach short in the water on nine made double bogey.
Hit right on ten under lip pitched out short of green in three missed par save.
Hit a pop up drive on eleven in the hazard made double bogey.
I guess she withdrew after that.
By the way someone called So Yeon Ryu the "perfect women.
I suppose that Min Byeol Kim fits that description.

The Swing Girls in general are not having a good week. Hyun Kyung is the only inside the cut line right now, and she's tied for 30th. Ayean is way back, So Mi and Ga Young just outside the cut, and of course Hee Jeong dropped out. The next generation and Min Ji seem to be taking over?
That's still better than Ye Been Sohn. After notching four straight top 15s, she came into today and just imploded. On 14 she got into the greenside bunker in two, barely got out, then took four more shots to get it into the hole. She followed that with a quintuple bogey on the par 5 16th. Youch.

There were two WDs after Round One ... Round Two is not done and twelve more players quit, including Lim, Iron Cho, Jin Seon Han and the Mini-Rocket. Congrats to The Hulk for shooting 72 today ... except that she has three more holes to play.
