That chip by HJK was almost as good as a 72 foot putt! Buhai having a good run

Another week where I barely watched. Sounds like it was nothing but the usual suspects on TV the first two days. I tuned in on Sunday to see if Hyo Joo was going to grab it, but it just felt the whole way like it would be Buhai, and alas I called it correctly. When Hyo Joo lipped out that short par save I bailed.
Will a Korean other than Jin Young get a win this year? Still hasn't happened... Well, I still think Hyo Joo will have a great week somewhere, and I think In Gee might too unless her back is too messed up. But geez Louise... Buhai has won THREE TIMES since the last non-Jin Young Korean got an international win.

I may be wrong, but she doesn't play as tough as she did in her earlier years as an Amateur and a early LPGA golfer. I also thought that Hae Ran Ryu would be competing for the win and she missed the cut. Jeongeun Lee6 played great her back nine the second round but fell back into bad play final round. I really haven't given up on Sei Young Kim winning again, because doesn't fear going low. It was great that Soo Bin Joo got a six-place tie. A shout out to Su Oh, her sixth place tie is the best that she had in a long time.

If the Koreans are depending on Soo Bin Joo to be their next great hope they are in serious trouble. No offense to her, but she is far down the list in terms of top Korean stars. I'm still hoping that Hye Jin has a big run coming up soon.
I was watching the 2015 US Women's Open final round the other day. Hadn't watched it in years. It was fun but it shows how much things have changed. In Gee and Amy duked it out for the win, with Inbee ending up tied third, So Yeon getting a top ten, and Michelle Wie and Jane Park also contending. I can't even remember the last time the Koreans had a leaderboard like that, especially in a Major. Probably 2020.

It was Su Oh's best result since she finished T2nd at Portland a couple of years ago. She had been doing terribly recently.
I can't recall a journeywoman (as even Morgan Pressel referred to her) like Ashley Buhai perform so well so late in their career. Journeywoman no longer.
