The "schmutz" has improved greatly ... now "only" 73 ... it was over 200 early yesterday morning in Millville, about 25 miles west of course.
The GC broadcast started here at Noon and they'll show leader JTibs only if she has a birdie putt attempt ... otherwise, forget it, it's the Usual Suspects (Nordqvist, ECP and Hall). Were getting plenty of Aditi and Reto, too.
Pretzel mentioned the greens are "spongy", which I found a little surprising ... maybe they received more rain/irrigation this year. She also stumbled into the truth, implying this event is a week of "rest" ... yeah, a rest camp with practice, a scrimmage, a week to work and experiment on your game ... before the REAL golf at KPMG and the USWO.
I stand corrected, they did show JTibs tee off at the par-3 7th over the turtle pond. She's taking quite a bit of time to pull the trigger ... she's almost in Sergio territory back when he was really bad. OUCH! They showed her wedge into #8 ... took a huge one-handed divot and was holding her right hand afterward.
Muni (+2 thru 12) can't afford to treat this week as a rest camp ... I don't think she used TM wedges anymore (that might be old news).

Just before GC went off the air, Unlucky Five rolled in a birdie bomb at #11 ... MHL was seen for a millisecond.
********
I hope they interview Yan Liu (-6) today and ask what she has changed in the last two weeks ... she really stunk at Cognizant. She eagled #9 and #18 today ... I don't remember anyone ever getting eagles on both of those holes in the same round ... that would be a great research project for LPGA intern to verify.
********
Jeeno Jat made a couple of bad short putts during the broadcast ... it's her first time here ... still managed a 68. I'll be shocked if she doesn't win quite soon ... her 2023 stats are astounding.
*******
MHL is Even thru 11 holes ... just survived the brutal par-4 2nd with a par.
*******
Talley with Audrey ... anyone know why there is a Mrs. Bates logo on her bag?

Tom Abbott said this event is the final one used to determine CME-eligible players for the KPMG/PGA in two weeks ... he doesn't know why next week's Meijier isn't being used for that deadline, but that's the way it is ... and Dani Holmqvist (5 for 5 in trunk slams) is taking BIG advantage with a -7 score thru 16 holes. The EMP (68, -3) is also fighting to get into KPMG. One player who doesn't get it is SY Ryu, who's not even here ... oh wait, she'll get into KPMG by winning at Meijer.
Calling all Su Oh fanboys, she had a clutch 68 (-3) ... Baltusrol, here she comes ... this is her tee shot at the par-4 8th with what appears to be a Callaway X-Hot 3-wood ... which you can find in the $25 trash barrel at your local golf show ... Momoko Ueda would give her a big thumbs-up.

Good round by Jenny Shin clean score card with six birdies.
Soo Bin Joo also had a nice round minus five which included an eagle on the ninth nole.
Hyo Joo Kim had a good front nine four birdies. But could only manage even back nine with one birdie one bogey.
Hae Ran Ryu with three birdies no bogeys front nine. But crashed and burned on the back nine with two birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey. She also had a chance to win the last Tournament but played bad middle to final holes back nine.
Jeongeun Lee6 had a mixed bag with six birdies and four bogeys. Good news is that she is under par.
Poor Yaeeun Hong driving average was 221, yet she only hit seven fairways, She also hit only eight greens, leading the tour in putting not much help. Only keeps her score from looking terrible.

Jeongeun Lee6 had a mixed bag with six birdies and four bogeys. Good news is that she is under par. Six was 'oh-so-Six.' I totally dedicated myself to her after Haney's mocking comments 4 years ago. Today was a normal scorecard for her, six birdies and four bogeys. Her good days are seven birdies and two bogeys, that's enough to win many tournaments if sustained as a sequence of minus-5 rounds or close to it. Her bad days, let's just not describe them, we've seen many in recent years, Are there any golfers with fewer pars thus more birdies and bogeys than Six, my Lee6?

I followed So Yeon Ryu her Final Round when she won the Meijer LPGA Classic. I also followed her when she won the ANA Inspiration. Of course, I became a fan when she won her first Tournament when she turned Pro. It was not a big tournament, it was the Cactus Tour Tournament.

Six on Saturday continued to show promise, but in her 'oh-so-Six' way. Started on the back nine, bogeyed two of her first seven holes, and who would have thought any more of her chances? Looked like an initially promising first round about to go down in disaster in round two and miss the cut. Then the 'good Six,' make that the 'awesome Six' took charge. Birdied 18 and four more birdies on the front nine. Currently T9 though that will likely change with the afternoon rounds. That's my Lee6!

It's Sunday morning and the useless GolfWeek website has no stories on Dani leading Shoprite/Acer for two straight days. I hope she wins, but this event looks like such an obvious set-up for HoJo. Btw, check out the 1st round video interview of Soo Bin Joo, which you can find in the press section of the LPGA website ... her voice and word choices sound so much like MHL. GC also caught up with her in Round Two:

According to Grant Boone, LA-born Soo Bin "goes by 'Alicia' in the States." ******** Hallelujah, the EMP made her first cut of the season, paired with Team Pano for the final round. Aside from Kim, I can see Castren or Atthaya stealing this one. Jeeno seems to be uncomfortable with the lead this season anyway. Stephenson and Steen are -6 through 13, and Haeji Kang is in at -6, so it seems scores are definitely out there.

Jeongeun Lee6 had a one over par front nine. However it was great to see her clean score card four birdies back nine.
Great round by Hyo Joo Kim with eight birdies one bogey back nine. She needs to continue to make birdies to win. Unlike last week no birdies two bogeys will not win.
Jenny Shin is within striking distance, but she hasn't showed that she can come from behind to win. I hope that Soo Bin Joo can have a good final round.

Not too surprised about the winner as Buhai made a last-round rush at Mizuho also.
MHL at #18 on Sunday ... first time she has played three straight rounds under-par at this golf course since 2016. Move up to #104 on CME.
*******
Assuming Tom Abbott was correct on Friday, this was a HUGE week for Dani, Su, Nomura and Soo Bin Joo punching their tickets for KPMG ... all four are now in the CME top-100.
Brianna Do on Sunday at the 3rd hole ... moved up to #112 on CME, that's good enough for KMPG ... she might not even have to blank out her bag anymore.
