Dropped back to Gaby Then who made birdie putt at #6, now -1. At #7, downhill putt ran past hole, leaving her maybe three feet ... made it! No. 8 is 370 and wind is suddenly gusting. Hole bends left and goes down. Metraux has 126 to green center, but went left and ran off into shaved area ... chip scooted past cup and down green, she's away again, made bogey. From 112, Then knocked it on to 15-20 feet and missed uphill birdie putt by an inch. You're driving over a hill at #9 which is 387. Gaby hits green from right rough, but leaves her maybe 15 feet downhill ... crap, she barely missed ... made par. Instead of clinching first alternate, she'll have to fight for it in a gang playoff, I think.

The Kangster did video interview after round ... I took a pic of that.
Uh oh, Kumkang Park birdied #8, now -2. Needs par at #9 to clinch 1st alt. Has downhill fairway lie to uphill green. Wow, hit the green at exact yardage to flag, ball rolled past, leaving maybe 18 feet downhill. Oooo, 1st putt ran by about 4 feet ... now it's uphill ... nailed it! Good, I don't want to stick around for a useless 2nd alt. playoff.

The Sisters did pretty well: three of the four qualifiers and both alternates have Korean blood. Jenny Shin, Haeji Kang and Annie Park join the Thai bomber, and Inky and Kum Kang Park are alternates. Poor Inky, just missed full entry!
No bonus points if you guess which of the four qualifiers will get the primetime pairing and TV coverage.

Added pic of Haeji interview. She has a Proto Concept bag with those irons, along with some yellow Golf Partner towels ... based in Japan, GP claims to the largest golf store chain in the world.
In other news, during the afternoon I noticed MA LeBlance and her loop Laura Gonzalez Escallon (ex-LPGA) cutting across the 3rd and 18th holes in a direction towards the parking lot. I assumed she had completed her 36 with a score that wasn't gonna cut it, so there was no point in hanging around. However, I looked at the online score later and it wasn't quite what I thought. Her morning round was 72, +1. She started her second round on the front nine and played Even thru six holes, so she was still +1. Then she bogeyed #s 7, 8 and 9 and quit.
More perplexing was EK Pedersen who played the first 18 at Even. She had a rollercoaster front nine in the afternoon, but was not out of it at +1 thru 27, but then she quit, too. Did she have a plane to catch?!. Before the playoff started for the second alternate, MJ Uribe was telling Inky that she had an 11:45 flight and was all packed, although she still expected to hit traffic. "For the Good of the Game", Uribe, Inky, Then and Kaur participated in that dopey playoff, which ran six holes into the darkness, per the NJSGA article. Has a 2nd alt. ever gotten into the USWO?
