This event takes place starting on February 9th. It is another Aussie event where the men and women play at the same time, although not competing against each other. I was curious to see if any KLPGA starlets would show up here, but it's slim pickings in that regard. But there are a few interesting names in the field, including Min A Yoon, Jiyai Shin, Julienne Soo, Stephanie Na, Su Oh and Grace Kim. Women's FieldAmong the intriguing unfamiliar names is amateur Godiva Kim. Presumably she plays with her clothes on and not riding a horse. PS - I looked up Godiva Kim. She's actually a really young prodigy who was already being profiled a few years ago at age 7. She was born in 2008, so that would make her 14 or 15 now. Here she is at age 7: |

The little known Aussie who played with Karrie and Jiyai Shin is currently running away with this event. Still some Sisters in the top ten, but they have a lot more work now to get back in it.

Round 3. The leader stumbled and was well over par most of the day but made an eagle on the final hole to regain a two-shot lead. Still, she now has Jiyai Shin breathing down her neck. Good luck to Jiyai and the Sisters on Sunday! Hwaiting!

Final Round Queen Jiyai lived up to her nickname, shooting a rare under par round on the day to take the win. Porter got close a couple of times but couldn't hang on. Min A Yoon had a terrible day and fell all the way out of the top ten, but Su Oh had the round of the day with a 67 to surge into the top ten. Congrats to Jiyai!! And nice move for Grace Kim to grab a t-2nd!  |
