I'm just gonna come right out and say what I've been thinking for a while. The association seems to be in some trouble.

The field shown on the LET website has 120 names and Jung Min Lee is not one of them. On the other hand, there are ten reserved spots unfilled, so maybe she'll get one. Muni is the first reserve among the world top-300 players.

If those 10 Sisters fill up the 10 Invitee reserved spots, that would open up spaces in the Top 300 WWGR category. Right now, the EMP is hanging on by a thread as the last Top 300 Rolex qualifier.
Of course, this being a Saudi event, "His Excellency" will probably fill up the invitee spaces with Nat Nat, Paige Spiranac, et al.

Hopefully not many will take up the offer. Hate to be see the Koreans playing for Saudis.

Yeah, me too. Hope this doesn't become a trend. But for the four KLPGA golfers, the winner's check is more than any of them made on the KLPGA in all of the past season. It's unfortunately difficult to turn down that kind of filthy lucre.

Someone must have been added to the field because The EMP has dropped down to 1st alternate.
BTW, there is no difference between KSA money and China money. Jtibs has no need to apologize for playing this one. I wouldn't be mad if MHL played this one ... but they probably don't want her.ðŸ˜

I hope Hee Jeong Lim plays because she needs the experience playing away from the KLPGA. She hasn't done too good when she played the LPGA Majors.

I think it's time to rename this thread to the tournament name, whose field just received a big reshuffling.
Big Ryu jumped into this one, along with Iron Cho, So Mi Lee and Jung Min Hong ... don't know who else joined, but they dropped The EMP to 5th alternate.

The intern is literally at work as I type this. Human Hwang was put in as the first sponsor invite, which was a mistake because her name was later shifted into the world-ranked category, currently the 16th alternate there. More Koreans jumped into the pile, including Min Song Ha, Jeong Mee Hwang and Unlucky Five, who was at #120 for a nanosecond before dropping to 1st alternate. Also, Seung Yeon Lee can unpack her bags as she dropped to 3rd alternate. The Excluded Malaysian Princess is down to 9th alternate. The ten sponsor invite spots remain open.

I hope KT got a refundable ticket.
His Excellency's Harem Invitee spots are still vacant. Muni may still have a shot.

I don't know the exact time cut-off ... another KLPGAer took the plunge, Jiwon Hong, but for how long? Her ranking is #120!

That didn't take long ... yesterday's Hong is today's toast. GA Eun Song and Jinhee Im joined up and I think NASA is another new name.
