JFE Setonaikai Golf Club (it's Scottish links with palm trees) will host the latest edition, Nov. 29 thru Dec. 2. I don't know the magic number for how many get the best priority status in 2023. Using Google Mush, here are a few of the better names from the field of 96:
* - Going on my hazy memory, this is a past winner on Japan's big tour
Top 30 get Full Card for entry to the first half of the years schedule until the reshuffle, from past history if your between 30 - 40 its no big deal as you will get in pretty much every event bar a few.
The major change I have noticed over the years is the decreasing number of Korean players playing full time on the JLPGA, only 7 kept there full card which includes the return from maternity leave in Sun-ju Ahn.
FYI - the strikeouts from the three preliminary sites last week included Ayaka Matsumori, Megumi Shimokawa, Jennifer Hirano, S. Langkul, Kotono Kozuma, Natsuka Hori, Junko Omote, Asami Kikuchi, Yuki Ichinose, Karen Gondo and Ayako Uehara.
Even an article on the JLPGA website is deliberately vague on the magic cut-off number from the final scores ... per Google mush:
The QT Final will determine the qualifications for the 2023 JLPGA Tour and Step Up Tour. Until the 1st JLPGA tour re-ranking, QT rankings are obtained excluding seeded players, but around 30th place is the border line every year.
