The second edition of this event starts Thursday ... they tacked on a fourth round this year and increased the purse from ¥80 million to ¥100 million. The field is 120 and the top-60 plus ties make the cut. Getting in four rounds will be a challenge ... Accuweather says they'll be dodging T-storms all week. Kotono Kozuma gets a rare start on the big tour this week, while baby bro Jinichiro will be playing the Welfare for Washouts tour in Bedminster at the same time.

Not a good second round for Yui Kawamoto four birdies three bogeys. Natsuka and Kotone Hori switched places Natsuka had five birdies and Kotone missed the cut. Natsuka still hanging in there with an even par round today.
Yui Kawamoto only improved one stroke after her opening round minus five score. Today a birdie, bogey and double bogey front nine, she did improve with two birdies back nine.
