The second edition of this event starts Thursday ... they tacked on a fourth round this year and increased the purse from ¥80 million to ¥100 million. The field is 120 and the top-60 plus ties make the cut. Getting in four rounds will be a challenge ... Accuweather says they'll be dodging T-storms all week. Kotono Kozuma gets a rare start on the big tour this week, while baby bro Jinichiro will be playing the Welfare for Washouts tour in Bedminster at the same time.
I have no TV streams for this ... try rogue video search on YT:

This "live" video from Round One is more than one hour behind the action, but it's better than nothing. SW Bae is at the 1st green and the next group to hit is Morita, Ryu and Tsai.

Great first round for Yui Kawamoto six birdies one bogey.
Kotone Hori didn't do to good with three birdies two bogeys. A good finish thou, made birdie on two of last three holes which helped.
Big sis Natsuka Hori had two birdies on first four holes, but had five bogeys the last ten holes.

Among the eleven players who were DNS, three of them had The Bug. Five more players quit and Mamiko Higa was booted for a rules violation - 3.3b(2). The cut was -2 and 62 players made it.
Several rogue videos from Round Two are posted on YT ... with a short shelf life, of course.

After making the cut, Yuka Yasuda dropped out from heatstroke ... I assume she'll get paid ... we'll know for sure tomorrow.

Yui Kawamoto only improved one stroke after her opening round minus five score. Today a birdie, bogey and double bogey front nine, she did improve with two birdies back nine. She will make some money but not a lot she needs to do much better. She has shown that she can post a good round, just needs to have more of them. Also eliminate the double bogeys on par fives, seems she has them every Tournament.

Minami Katsu didn't touch the tour record of -24, but she became the first player to go bogey-free for four days for the first time since the JLPGA started keeping hole-by-hole records in 1990. She made a couple of tough par-saver putts in the R4 official highlight reel:

Win #7 on Japan's big tour ... and NO stupid water bottles on the 18th green.
She'll tee it up at this week's AIG Women's Open and still plans to attend LPGA q-series.
