They shortened the par fives on an already short golf course. Still clean rounds minus seven by Ina Yoon, minus six Ji Young Park was really good.
Too bad Hee Jeong Lim didn't take advantage of it. However she will be just fine, because tee to green she is doing great.

I managed to watch most of the third round on the English language broadcast today. Ina Yoon is something else. It felt like she didn't hit a single fairway all day (she actually hit 4/14, which is pretty dire), and yet she didn't miss a green until the back nine. To be fair, most of her driving misses were just a few feet off the fairway; she was rarely in the trees or anything. (If the KLPGA stats are to be believed, she was 18/18 GIR today and has missed just two greens all week; but I swear I recall her being in the fringe on at least one green). Even when she was in a fairway bunker, she would hit her second shot on the green and closer than her opponents. On the two back nine par fives, she overshot the green with her second both times. Meanwhile, her playing partners hit their thirds within a few feet of the hole, so Ina had to manage dicey chips from the rough for her third. She made 1/2 birdies. Why did she shoot a 65? As I said, she still got on the green most of the time. She had short irons virtually every time, and some of those she got close. And her putting was great. This is why I think she's going to be a big star: not just her ridiculous length, she also can play with the flat stick. Anyways, it will be fun to see if she can shake Park tomorrow and get the first win. Hwaiting!

LOL One news site has started calling Ina 'Rapunzel' because of her long braid. I'm stealing that.

I wouldn't get too excited about this Tournament. Although Ina has become one of my favorite players. There aren't any bushes or hazards close to the Fairway. This course setup is perfect for her. Also Ji Young Park is a very good player, so don't count her out.

Do the SBS only have one Camera working. They show the final group play a hole go to Commercial or follow them to the next tee. Ok they showed another golfer putt guess they have two.

Also Ji Young Park is a very good player, so don't count her out. I reserve the right to get a little excited about this week. Look, Ina has a lot of work to do on her driving accuracy, and no question she needs to improve in a lot of ways if she wants to become a top star. And though there was water and some danger off the tee, this was one of the easier courses they played this year, which helped her no doubt. On the other hand, this week she showed she's far from one-dimensional. She made a bunch of clutch putts today, including the one that won her the title. She also went toe-to-toe with 4-time winner Park when Park made pretty much every par save she looked at. She even held it together when she dropped out of the lead briefly on the back nine. And this is her third top three in her last four starts. Not all those courses were ideal for her. Plus ya gotta love the attention she gave the kids after Saturday's round. Congrats, Ina!!!

Maybe a bit premature to run that video with 2NE1's "I'm the Best", haha - but I'm excited too. (And I do love that song!) The couple times she did get in trouble she played it smart and limited the damage. Also teed off with 3W and utility on some of the tight driving holes - but then also wasn't afraid to go back to the driver, even after her bad swings. Here putting won it for her this week. Mostly excellent long lag putts, and lots of clutch 10ft+ ones for birdies.

Also- Ina's stats are remarkably good this year overall. #3 in Greens in Regulation, only behind Park Ji Young and Ryu Hae Ran GIR, Par 3s - 4th GIR, Par 4s - 2nd GIR, Par 5s - 19th Iron shot index - #1 (whatever the heck that is...combo of all the GIR scores, maybe?) Scoring average - 13th
Birdie average, par 3s - 16th Par 4s - 8th Par 5s - 2nd
Not so good: #103 in driving accuracy (66%) #90 in putting average, 31.1136/round (leader Na Hee Won is only at 28.63)

Most players I think would be a little embarrassed wearing that queen getup, but Ina was rockin' it. In that video, it looked like that mom was handing over her infant for Ina to sign her kid!

Congratulations to Ina Yoon for her first Tournament win. I didn't get to watch the Leaders back nine. She jumped to second place behind Yewon for Rookie Of The Year. Still want Yewon to win because she is my favorite of the two players.
Hee Jeong Lim had an ok round of four birdies and no bogeys. However with her twelfth place tie with a lot of others. Instead of getting closer on the Money List to Min Ji, Ji Young Park jumped her.
Nice minus ten weekend for So Mi Lee best in a while.

By the way HappyFan my statement of not getting too excited about this Tournament. Was not just meant for you. It was a general statement which also included me because Ina Yoon is one of my favorite golfers as well.
