Starts Thursday for a field of 120 ... top-60 plus ties make the cut. This will be Shibuno Fever's last warm-up before the USWO. Courtesy of the title sponsor, Hori One will be joining Hori Two this week.

Many other channels will carry all four days. The Internet police has been less vigilant than I expected in blocking rogue videos this year ... I would try this lookup on YouTube:

Nice to see Hinako Shibuno play a Tournament back in Japan. She is so easy to like, because she has a such very likable personality.

I didn't notice that big sister Natsuka Hori was playing. She was even par first round. She had three birdies no bogeys first nine today, but three bogeys one double back nine. It's so hard to finish a good round when you have been struggling with your game.

Seems like a broken record with Yui Kawamoto different day same story. She started with a birdies on two of her first four holes, after that six bogeys one birdie. I wonder why she bogeys so many par fives, two today. However another cut made which is good.
Kotone Hori had a pedestrian round of three bogeys, two birdies.

Look out for The Chie Pet, who reeled off five birdies in her last six holes on Saturday ... hasn't won since 2018 and hasn't done better than T-33 this year.

Really good round for Yui Kawamoto minus two tied for tenth right now. The great news is her strong finish three birdies one bogey last four holes.
Kotone Hori two birdies one bogey is tied for thirteen right now.
Edit: I didn't notice that Natsuka Hori had made the cut. Good for her three straight 74s after the 72 first round.

Wow, Mao! Long bunker shot in for eagle on 16, a birdie on 18 to add to the margin - 5th win of the year! Inami has to settle for 2nd - she's definitely back in form though.

I was in blackout mode as the NTV replay broadcast started with five players tied for the lead at -9 ... had no idea who would win until Chairwoman Mao slammed the lid on everyone at #16.
Sand eagle starts at 10:45 -

... and she plays a Bridgestone ball.
The Chukyo TV station had its name dropped from the tournament, but they still have a trophy.
I thought the Yaris was the worst piece of junk built by Toyota a few years ago ... or was it just the ones they exported to the U.S.?
She has worn Sunday yellow for four of her wins ... she is skipping the next JLPGA event and should be well-rested going into Pine Needles.
