The final round is this week (Nov. 30 thru Dec. 3) at the golf course of the Yamaha Ladies Open. I don't know what kind of finish you need for full status in 2022. A lot of familiar names and a few past big tour winners are here, including Erina Hara, Kokone Yoshimoto, O Sataya, Mami Fukuda, Hina Arakaki, Hana Wakimoto, Asako Fujimoto, Hee Kyeong Bae, Momo Yoshikawa, Yuka Yasuda, Hikaru Yoshimoto, Megumi Shimokawa, Rumi Yoshiba, Miyuki Takeuchi, Sakura Yokomine, Hikari Fujita, Kana Nagai, Maria Shinohara, Kumiko Kaneda, Megumi Kido, Eimi Koga, Fumika Kawagishi, Mayu Hattori, Phoebe Yao, Ayaka Matsumori, Ting Ting and the Iwai twins.
One of my favorite "names" will also be here, Yuki Ichinose ... she retired in 2019, got married and had a kid ... her husband, who is a golf pro, encouraged her to make a comeback.

Day One scores, courtesy of Google mush:
POS PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R 3R 4R TOTAL 1 Amy Koga -6 -6 66 66 2T Takahisa Minami -5 -5 67 67 2T Phoebe Yao -5 -5 67 67 2T Rio Ishii -5 -5 67 67 5T Mami Fukuda -4 -4 68 68 5T Yukiko Nishiki -4 -4 68 68 5T Hiroko Azuma -4 -4 68 68 5T Megumi Shimokawa -4 -4 68 68 5T Sakura Yokomine -4 -4 68 68 5T Hikari Fujita -4 -4 68 68
Mrs. and Mr. Yokomine fighting for their kid!!! I saw them at Cognizant ... puddle jumping the Pacific Ocean doesn't seem practical anymore (thank you, Japanese govt.)
USA! USA! If Eimi Koga wants to be a BIG TIME star on the JLPGA, she needs to follow the example of Ji Hee Lee, who did NOT leave Japan during the pandemic outbreak ... forget about sunning yourself in Hawaii for the next 20 years.
Ah Reum Hwang (-2, T-21)
Simin Feng (+2, T-76) ... you're trapped here, too.

I assume it was colder and more windy on Day Two because almost everyone's scores were much worse. Hawaii's greatest athlete since Benny Agbayani shot 77, but is still in a good spot at T-11.
POS PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R 3R 4R TOTAL 1T Megumi Shimokawa -5 -1 68 71 139 1T Yukiko Nishiki -5 -1 68 71 139 3 Asuka Ishikawa -4 -2 70 70 140 4T Yuting Seki -3 -3 72 69 141 4T Huang Arum -3 -1 70 71 141 4T Eri Fukuyama -3 0 69 72 141 7T Satsuki Oshiro -2 -2 72 70 142 7T Mizutsuki Oide -2 +1 69 73 142 7T Aya Kinoshita -2 +1 69 73 142 7T Hina Arakaki -2 +1 69 73 142
Ting Ting was the only player to break 70.
Kana Nagai (+1, T-26) ... playing better than it looks.
Misuzu Narita (+3, T-44) ... fighting a hook, I think ... a past multi-winner who had a bad back in 2020-21 and could not practice very much as a result.
Hee Kyeong Bae (+8, T-81) ... followed a 72 with an 80 ... that's gonna leave a mark.

Scoring was back to normal in Round Three, the low being 65 by Shiho Kuwaki.
POS PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R 3R 4R TOTAL 1T Huang Arum -7 -4 70 71 68 209 1T Megumi Shimokawa -7 -2 68 71 70 209 3T Hina Arakaki -5 -3 69 73 69 211 3T Mizutsuki Oide -5 -3 69 73 69 211 5T Mami Fukuda -4 -4 68 76 68 212 5T Aya Kinoshita -4 -2 69 73 70 212 5T Asuka Ishikawa -4 0 70 70 72 212 5T Yukiko Nishiki -4 +1 68 71 73 212 9T Hiroko Azuma -3 -3 68 76 69 213 9T Fumika Kawagishi -3 -3 73 71 69 213 9T Amy Koga -3 -2 66 77 70 213 9T Hanane Nagashima -3 -2 71 72 70 213 9T Satsuki Oshiro -3 -1 72 70 71 213 9T Eri Fukuyama -3 0 69 72 72 213
Megumi Shimokawa ... no spectators, just a make-believe high-ten.
Ayaka Matsumori (+4, T-48) and super coach have a lot of work facing them tomorrow.
Hina (The Face) Arakaki is a cinch to make it tomorrow.
Kokone Yoshimoto (+7, T-71) ... which way is the chairlift?

A couple of articles I Google mushed say it's the top-30, not the top-35, that get full playing privileges during the first half of 2022. Tie-breakers were based on the last round scores (or third round if you were still tied). Koga the American dropped the ball .... where is Dottie to call it like it is?!

90 Chirei Iwai +16 74 78 75 77 304
Sakura Yokomine talks about wanting to get seven more wins in Japan, in order to get her free lifetime 30-win pass ... good luck with that!
Rei Matsuda ... with lead tape on the perimeter of her driver ... now she is on the perimeter of the JLPGA.
Camo Nagai blew it.
Full ticket renewed by Rumi Yoshiba ... someone tell her that Bass Pro Shops in the U.S. are ready to roll out the red carpet for her in 2022.
Megumi Shimokawa ... winning q-school is not too shabby for a 38-year-old ... was stricken by the bug in July ... with her looper Tadashi Shimokawa (brother, I assume)
Old Hat for Ah Reum Hwang ... I'll bet she's like Ji Hee Lee, totally integrated into Japan.

the placement position for full or partial privledges seems to vary where to info comes from....
i recall reading an article on yokomine who was quoted that she had to be in the top 50... another article in japan yahoo stated "around 40".... suppose we will have to wait for the official word from jlpga..
i hope hikari fujita gets playing privilege; she is right on the bubble at tied for 50th place...
