So Yeon Ryu remembered how she won the Walmart Championship. With six birdies on the front nine, a bogey on eleven didn't slow her down to much. She made four birdies the last five holes to finish tied for eighth place. That is the golfer that I knew had a lot of heart and she showed it big time today.

I hope with Nasa's win, there's no thought by the Toto organizers to cancel the Japan event.
Eun Hee Ji has really grown on me. I have never seen anyone putt from the bunker like she did on 18. And she did it very well! I would love to see her win again.
Here's another thing I have never witnessed: the "last" group didn't tee off last. I'm sure it was done to conform to time constraints, but it is weird that Nasa, Minjee and Eun Hee weren't the last group to tee off at 1.

Nasa is usually the last player on the range. She's a real sparkplug or fire hydrant. Take your pick.

It's amazing all the ink Beekeeper #2 is getting for putting out of a sand trap. I grew up on a cow pasture course that rivals Pinnacle CC. My father was an 18 handicapper. Two putts from 20 feet? Not always. Putting 50' from a trap? Sandy.

Round 3 This was one of those final rounds where, from the minute the telecast started, it seemed fated that Hataoka was going to win. It actually got closer in the end than I thought it would, and she was darn lucky she walked off with the win after that sloppy three putt on the last. Still, congrats to her! I was happy to see a birdie fest tournament where the Sisters had a good week for a change. Eun Hee stole the show with a late clutch eagle and a putt out of a greenside bunker! Her t-2nd will help her a lot in maintaining her card and getting into CME. The other runner-up was also a Sister, Minjee Lee. Danielle Kang was T-4th, and four more Sisters made top tens. Jin Young missed three greens ALL WEEK. But her putting just wasn't at top level, so she couldn't stay close enough. It still looked like she might steal this, especially when she was 4 under through 11, but she kept missing birdies by inches, and in the end had to settle for t-6th. So Yeon was incredible, rallying from nowhere to a t-8th thanks to a scintillating 62. I don't recall seeing her at all in the telecast. Lee6 couldn't back up her 63 from yesterday, but still got a top ten. In Gee just missed one, but had a nice 67. Chella had yet another low round, a 66, and got her own top ten. Sisters hwaiting!
