Something was always a hair off about the international crown. It got playing for your country right but after that the format it’s hard to follow. I can follow the International Crown. The LPGA is an International Tour now. I think that make the Solheim Cup out dated. On paper the European tour is over matched. Besides Canada is on America Continent, so that make Brooke Henderson an American.

Just after the WBO finished, my first instinct was to say the Euro squad will kick US butts up and down the fairways. Now I think it will be close but still give the Europeans the nod.

The hot-tempered Good Doctor isn't playing. Mistake 1.

The IC is dead? Just add a third Asian team to the Solheim. If the Solheim family doesn't like it, call it the Underwriters Laboratory Cup and be done with it. Problem solved.
The Solheim Cup is an anachronism, excluding the fastest growing segment of the LPGA.

I think the international crown has given us 3 matches between the US and Korea in 3 events. That’s a broken format.

And one of those matches was a playoff to eliminate one of the teams, so it was like one hole? It's a little longer, but I'd like to see the eight team format, with four qualifying for the semis like now. Then throw out the scores; set up two brackets, where you match each country's entire squad against each other. Winners advance to the finals, where you repeat the entire-team match up. That way, you know exactly which matches are important -- they all are! And no matches where a team that is already out of it might tank and hand the trophy to one of the other squads. Your team's fate is entirely in your hands. And imagine how that would stoke the rivalries! US vs. Korea, Australia vs. Sweden, England vs. US, Thailand vs. Japan, whatever. Could even mix the formats - perhaps one team match + two singles, or all singles, whatever. Best of all, you get the two best countries that week in the finals, no tanking.

The format needs to be US, Europe, Japan and the rest of the world against Korea. That would settle a lot of things.

I disagree with wanting a US versus Korea match. I think all the Countries matter and should be treated equally. I believe last place China beat Korea in one match. With Teresa Lu dominating In Gee Chun, so they matter. I am so tired of hearing the US vs Korea matchups. Heck the LPGA Koreans Golfers can't even beat the KLPGA Golfers.
I am sure the other country fans deserve to see their golfers play. Beside it's an exhibition not a war.

If it's true both teams' uniforms were picked out by the Texas State Legislature, why weren't the players required to wear bonnets?

I need to give international crown format a few more reps.
Hopefully it’s the precursor to a totally different format for weekly events. Golf should absolutely be a team sport during the regular season. Much better TV and season long drama. Only the majors and a few other events should be traditional stroke play.

Poppin Off knows when she’s on camera.
It’s hard to know who to cheer for this year. All the players are fun.

They must not have enough cameras to cover Yealimi.

I didn't see any of Friday's action, but I skimmed the "controversy" at lpga.com. I'll have to adjust my nicknames ... Alison Lee changes from 'Gimmee' to 'Gimme One' and Madeline Sagstrom becomes 'Gimmee Two." I think the Euros got rooked ... that putt was NOT overhanging the hole and had NO chance of falling in without the help of Hurricane Ida.
You would think that LEXI (TM) has finally been around long enough to play successful team golf without her babysitter, Crusy Grrr ... NOT!!!! The first four team matches for Sunday haven't been announced yet. I think it is time for Hurst to panic, hurt some feelings and ditch the pods ... just play Friday's best performers and tell LEXI (TM) to sit her azz down. The days of beating up on Florentyna Parker, Becky Brewerton and Ludvine Kreutz without breaking a sweat are LONG GONE.
******
The New Ko definitely has the ability to retake Rolex #1 from Korda Two ... but I question if she has the internal fire to do it.

I think the new Ko will end up as No. 1 in 2022. It may take the new Korda several years to recover from this humiliation.
