The sportswashing begins July 8-10 at Centurion Club (6,508 yards, par 74) in England. It's an individual and team format with 108 pros and 36 amateurs ... still many details not spelled out yet. I'm curious to see how this works out, since the series is coming to the NYC area in October. The bigger names include Minjee, Laura Davies, Trish Johnson, EK Pedersen, Georgia Hall, Beth Allen, Charley, LA Pace, Flic Johnson, Anna N., AVD, Atthaya, Becky Morgan, Catriona Matthew and LEXI (TM).

Four different holes at Centurion Club, which opened in 2013. The par-3 in the third pic looks quite good and original.
Practice tee shots at various holes.

The panels below explain how the scoring works.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ-ox3kNX1- Tee times not posted yet ... I assume each team of four will go out as a group. There is no cut, so will a hypothetical rain delay pose a problem getting in three days of golf for 144 players?

The 36 teams are set, I think ... and how it was done, per the LET website:
An important and unique element of the Aramco Team Series – London is the fact that there will be a draft to choose the teams for the tournament.
The 36 team captains for the tournament have been chosen based upon the official Rolex World Rankings as of Monday 5th July 2021. In a random order, the 36 captains will select the first player to join their team.
From the remaining field, another professional will be assigned to each team based on a random pick. While before tee off on Thursday, each team will be randomly assigned an amateur to complete the line up.
Tee times are posted and I assume they are grouped by team. All 36 foursomes start the day at #1. The first tee time is 7 AM and the last is 2:15 PM ... it'll be a challenge seeing this work with less October daylight in NYC. LEXI (TM) is grouped with Dame Laura. The tournament ends on Saturday ... I wonder if they reserved Sunday in case of rain.

So it's kinda like junior high dodge ball gym class, where the unpopular kids end up getting randomly assigned to a team. The 36 captains pick their favorite player, leaving everyone not in the top 72 with lifelong anxiety issues for not being picked.
I wonder what LEXITM got for an appearance fee. She hasn't been able to rake in the Japanese dough for the past two years due to Covid.

Team Minjee is T-16 at -9, seven shots behind the leaders, Team Pace.

She has 24 hours to prove me wrong, but LEXI (TM) is just mailing it in, shooting one stroke better than teammate Dame Laura (144 to 145). Team Thompson is T-30.
Team Lee made a major move upward in leaderboard positioning, but still trails by seven shots. Looks like Minjee made a trip to the post office, too ... at 145, she is one stroke ahead of teammate Hayley Davis (Rolex # 526).
Kim Metraux picked up her first tournament ace ... hit a 9-iron at the 128-yard 17th hole.

The October version in NYC might be a little more interesting ... Harang Lee and Inci Mehmet will play there. The field has 11 unspecified invitees ... with the LPGA in Shanghai, I'd hope to see more U.S.-based players brought in. Also, the Symetra tour will be done by then ... how about getting the Ice Cream Princess? How about NJ's Karen Chung? How about an amateur NJ ringer like Megha Ganne?
