I was eyeballing Sarah Kemp at 2008 Sybase pro-am ... I sure got that one wrong.
Destiny Lawson (sounds like someone on one of those scrambled cable TV channels back in the '90s) won the Monday qualifier with a 71. Was she playing from the red tees? She got killed when she played for real this week.
**********
It's a bizarro world down there when Vickie Hurst and Min Lee are T-14.

Kim Williams one of the late entries that knocked Youngin Chun out of the Tournament. Must have something to do with the Tournament Sponsors, because she shot plus twenty one. What a waste of a Tournament spot, that could have gone to a Tour Golfer who needs it.

Sei Young Kim round was going backwards through fourteen holes. She had two bogeys and no birdies, saved the round with birdies on three of the last four holes. Five out of the lead is probably too far back , but she can still get a top five.

Round 3 Man, this has been a terrible season so far for the Sisters. Sei Young did not have a good day today, but at least she played well enough to give herself a long shot at an upset. Who knows, if anyone could make a huge charge from behind, it's her. Best of luck to her! Hwaiting!

I'm glad we had a first-time winner, especially with Wei Ling Hsu, a good interview who has been trying so hard to get that first win. Now the USGA needs to do right and turn her USWO 1st alternate into an official invitation. She and Teresa Lu are locks for the Chinese Taipei Taiwan Olympic team.
A rollercoaster week for Shibuno Fever earned her some pocket change. I don't know what her immediate plans are after the USWO, but she should forget about going back to Japan indefinitely ... it's the only way she'll make it the LPGA.

A couple months ago this new YouTube channel started that shows LPGA clips with JTBC Korean commentary with English subtitles.
This is a clip of Moriya's "decisive mistake." The Korean commentary is very minimal, without the need to fill up every second like the American announcers. After Moriya's flub below, there was over ten seconds of silence after their initial reaction ("Oh!").
