The next event on tour starts on Friday. In Gee Chun will be back to defend her title, the first of three she won last year. She is seeking her third win of 2015 in 8 starts, while Jung Min Lee will be taking the week off after winning the last two events (and three in her 9 starts).

I noticed last night that Ju Young Park name was on the KLPGA Leaderboard. I bet when she passed Q -School. She did not expect to get in less tournaments, than sponsor invitees. She is one spot below Sophia Popov on the priority list. Sophia is in the tournament. She should be, so should Ju Young. She has not played that well this year. I can understand why. There has to be a lot of pressure on her, because she gets in so few tournaments.

Round 3: In Gee Chun Does it Again: Her Third KLPGA Win of 2015!An epic battle on day three occurred between Yoon Kyung Heo, In Gee Chun and Bo Kyung Kim, all paired in the final group. For a little while, Heo had the lead at 9 under, with In Gee at 8 under and Kim at 7 under. But eventually, Heo slipped down the leaderboard to 7 under herself. By the 17th hole, Chun and Kim were tied for the lead with Heo one back. In Gee had a great birdie chance from 12 feet but just missed it. But Kim then lipped out her par save, and suddenly, with one hole to play, In Gee had a one shot lead over Kim and Heo. On 18, Kim hit her approach about fifteen feet past the hole. Heo was about 20 feet short. Chun, hitting last, pitched her approach off the back of the green, about a foot into the fringe, about twenty feet from the flag. In Gee's putt went about two feet past. Heo's must-make birdie try didn't even come close. Then came Kim's birdie putt: right on line, but one of the slowest lip outs I've ever seen. Par. In Gee proceeded to tap in for the win, her third of the season and fourth of 2015 (and seventh KLPGA win in her career). She is on a superstar trajectory at this point! Congratulations to In Gee Chun on yet another wonderful win and her first successful title defense! Scores: 1. In Gee Chun -8 2. Bo Kyung Kim, Yoon Kyung Heo -7 Other scores unavailable Pix In Gee Chun Bo Kyung Kim Yoon Kyung Heo Jin Young Ko Soo Jin Yang Soo Jin's beau, KPGA star Sung Hyuk Kim, was in the gallery! Great win by In Gee....I only caught parts of the end.
Happy....that last putt of In Gee's for the win...IMO....was not a tap in....it looked more like 3 to 3.5 feet away....there certainly would be stress standing over that putt for a win.
I luv the KLPGA...some things are so funny 1) no water ceremony on 18...this time a gal had a basket of yellow rose/flower pedals to throw at IGC....hilarious. 2) was there a memo for the final group that all must wear something yellow 3) why all the blazers for a win? 4) looked like an Olympic medal ceremony....a podium with the 3 top performers, medal around their necks....a bouquet of flowers...the only thing missing was the playing of the S. Korean national anthem 5) were all the top tournament and sponsor's brass attending a prom or wedding?....all the exec's with boutonnieres and not just one flower.....but it seemed like a greenhouse on each guy/gal's lapel....lol 6) hey what happened to the awards for nicest, most photogenic, congeniality award, etc, etc
I'd love to attend a KLPGA and JLPGA event. "See why it's different".....lol.

I'd like to know how Shin Ae Ahn, Song Yi Ahn and Hye Youn Kim did at the Oil Drop Open...unfortunately, Dennis Rodman's basketball buddy from Pyeongyang launched another rocket attack on the KLPGA website. Hye Youn Kim

OK....so it is on Jeju Island. S. Korea looks like a very mountainous country.
Whow.....Flying Dumbo fans even on the island.
So I assume you can buy a hat online from IGC's fan club website??....and one have a link?

In Gee's final putt was not trivial, but it was shorter than the one Heo made moments earlier, plus it was under the hole, whereas Heo's was over, so I didn't expect she had too much trouble with it. But yeah, anything other than a tap-in for the win is a little scary. I assume you saw those short putts missed by SYK on #9 leading to a 4 jack and double.....and those weren't even for a win....nothing is comfortable when it counts unless it's a 6" putt....just ask Doug Saunders and Scott Hoch. Ya just can't miss those putts when you're trying to chase down The Bumble Bee. Nice birdie putt by SYK on #10...but Inbee drains one too. Oh ya....HJK just drain an ace...OH YA BABY! The only reason why any Mericans are watching is Lexi is lighting it up.

I was really pulling for Yoon Kyung Heo to win. She just can't seem to get it done during the final round. Nothing against Inn Gee. It just that she is going to have many opportunities and wins. Maybe not so for Yoon Kyung.
