What is Starts? That is Yuna Nishimura's new sponsor. I looked it up ... Starts is a Japan-based firm dealing with real estate, construction, property management, hotel hospitality, etc.
Honma signed six free agents ... WOW indeed!
L- R: Nanoko Hayashi, Miyu Goto (with Honma in 2020), Minami Hiruta, Rumi Yoshiba, Momo Yoshikawa, Misuzu Narita and Shina Kanazawa. Bo Mee Lee called in to wish the new staffers well.
The duration and number of clubs in the contracts were not disclosed. Yoshikawa is now ex-Ping, Hayashi is ex-Srixon, and Hiruta & Kanazawa are ex-Bridgestone. Narita was partial to Callaway and PXG drivers during the last few years. I don't think Yoshiba has had a formal club contract since Nike got out of the equipment business around 2016. She has been wearing Nike clothes and carrying a Nike bag since then, which I assume will change ... doesn't look like a Nike outfit on her here.
A couple of months ago, long-retired former LPGA player Kyeong Bae entered the KLPGA Q-School and managed to snag a card.
She's serious about her comeback -- Here she signs a new sponsorship deal with a company called Yangjisa:
Bae was just 15 when she joined the KLPGA and won three events in the 2000 season. Now 35, she certainly is not too old to give it a go. In a recent interview, she claimed she wanted to try to play until she was 40. You go girl!

That's like being 45+ on the LPGA tour. But, I hope KB does well ... she brought some legit athletic tools to the U.S. and should have done better. I usually kept an eye out for her ... hit a tee ball during pro-am at 2006 Shoprite at the par-3 7th and her caddy said she was practicing her knock-down shot for the WBO ... "Knock-down?", she said, and her English seemed pretty good, as she later gave her looper detailed planning instructions for the next couple of days. At the 2006 Sybase Match Play, I followed most of her front-nine with Ai Miyazato where she pulled off an upset win. KB's mini-me sister followed along, as did daddy, puffing on cigs and cap-less with a head sun-browned like a Brazil nut. Saw her patting her face with make-up just before her first tee ball at Upper Montclair CC ... saw her blast a drive past JY Shin at the 2010 Match Play ... saw the good-sized TV screen built in to an upper pocket flap of her golf bag at the 2011 Match Play (it didn't work).
You'll have to update her SS website profile. Good thing I sent you a pic of her from the 2006 Shoprite, because I don't know what happened to the collection I shot that day ... must have gotten lost between old PCs crapping out on me.
