This is good news about about time if i say so myself. I would be interested to see how the KLPGA and the Korean media react if foreigners starting dominating the KLPGA. english.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2015/05/28/2015052801599.htmlKLPGA Opens Doors to Foreign Golfers The LPGA of Korea has decided to invite foreign golfers to the Korean professional women's golf tour for the first time. It announced Wednesday that it will hold an international qualifying tournament in September for non-Korean golfers which will have four rounds in a stroke play system. Those who finish in the top 30 percent will be given a chance to compete in the preliminary round for the tour in November in Muan, South Jeolla Province. The top 40-60 percent will be eligible to play in the second and third-tier tours. Both professional and amateur golfers older than 18 and non-Korean golfers can participate. Golfers high on the money list in overseas tours will be exempt from the qualifying tournament. They need to be in the top 125 on the U.S. LPGA Tour, top 95 on the LPGA of Japan, top 45 on the European Tour, and top 10 on the Chinese Tour. "We decided to open the door to non-Korean golfers to enhance the competitiveness of our tour and to enable the KLPGA to become a more globally recognized tour," a KLPGA official said.

I read that the other day. I suspect most of the players who will try this will be Asian (Japanese/Chinese/Thai). Non-Koreans have won on the KLPGA before and the fans didn't seem too bothered by it; indeed, I recall back in the day that the American golfers like Kerr and Inkster would get better receptions when they played on the KLPGA than they got in many American events.

Huh.....and I thought it the was Merica that was so racist....I never knew the Koreans shut out foreigners on the KLPGA.....lol. North Korea certainly doesn't like us. I think Nigeria, Italy, Lithuania, Kenya and South Korea are the only countries in the world where more than half the population has a favorable opinion of the USA.
