No, I'm NOT going to start following the minor minor leagues, but what else is there to do these days? It runs Wednesday thru Friday on the SW coast. This is the no dawdling tour ... foursomes will be sent out nine minutes apart from the 1st and 10th tees. The total purse is KRW 120,000,000 (about $100,344 USD). The wannabes and washouts include Da Na Kim, Ji Hee Kim, Do Yeon Kim, Q Baek, Je Yoon Yang, Seul A Yoon, Na Ri Lee, He Yong Choi, Sang Hee Han and last but not least, The Leader of The Pack. There's also Jee Hyun Ahn, who has two Dream Tour wins this year and is trying to regain her spot on the Big Tour for 2021. For some dumb reason, SBS Golf is not covering it this week.

The cut line was Even and Q Baek bombed out at +14, which would make her DFL if there had not been ten WDs.

Aigoo, The Superstar took the lead with a birdie at #15, but Ji Yu Jung birdied #18, forcing a playoff which she won. It's her first Dream Tour victory after getting a couple a second place finishes in 2020 and two more in 2019. It's too early to find any news reports, photos or videos.
FYI - SBS Golf will show the final round on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 7 PM (Korea time).
1 JUNG Ji Yu - 11 67(7) 69(8) 69(5) 205 21,600,000 2 Lee Solar - 11 66(2) 71(22) 68(2) 205 13,200,000 T3 KIM Do Yeon - 9 68(13) 70(12) 69(5) 207 5,200,000 T3 YOON Seul A - 9 70(37) 67(1) 70(10) 207 5,200,000 T3 KIM Se Jin - 9 69(25) 71(22) 67(1) 207 5,200,000 T3 CHOI He Yong - 9 68(13) 70(12) 69(5) 207 5,200,000 T3 IM Jin Hee - 9 71(49) 68(4) 68(2) 207 5,200,000 T3 KIM Jae Hee - 9 66(2) 70(12) 71(18) 207 5,200,000 T9 Kim Chae Hyun - 8 71(49) 68(4) 69(5) 208 2,100,000 T9 AHN Jee Hyun - 8 66(2) 72(33) 70(10) 208 2,100,000

The winner knocked in a 9-meter birdie putt on the third playoff hole which was the par-4 18th. An article says she took up the game at the advanced age of 18, which might explain a video I saw of her where she was hitting irons with a short backswing and short follow-through.

So close. Good to see Solar back on track. She'll need to make a decision shortly whether to go back to Japan or stay in the race for her KLPGA card.

I believe JLPGA, likes LPGA, has decided to combine 2020 and 2021 seasons for the purpose of qualification and priority. Solar best odd is to stay in Korea.

I think my recently posted photo of Ji Yu Jung in the photo thread was the obvious inspiration for her to finally break her winless jinx. 😀Congrats to her! 👌 https://www.instagram.com/p/CDBMj5wFUlG
