Are you serious? It's almost like asking "Who's Tiger Woods"? On this site it is. Who's Tiger Woods?

Brandel Chamblee likes Six's Swing! PS - is his statement about her swing correct? If so, pretty impressive that Lee6's swing stats top them all!

So Yeon her Coach and Mi Hyang Lee getting ready for the Tournament. Is Mi Hyang Lee also coached by McCormick?
MHL has been with Altus Performance for at least three seasons ... but, this is the first time I've seen her with McCormick in-person. It wouldn't surprise me if she were relegated to one of his underlings during her coaching sessions. Considering Spieth's uncorrected nose dive in the last 3+ years, I get no warm & fuzzy feelings from this pic.

Looking at the field, this USWO is similar to a PGA Tour Players' Championship. BA Nichols is beating the drums on this event, but she's just ******* into the wind, nobody cares. Excluding the USGA website, try finding a pic from Monday's practice round on "mainstream" sources like AP Images, Getty Images, Reuters Images, cnn.com, espn.com .... nada, zip, zilch.
Oh, wait a minute ... there is one place that cares ... can you guess where?
Minami Katsu
Saku-chan is a big fan of The New Ko and wants to play with her .... probably won't happen outside of a practice round
Yui in the photo bomb of the week

She had a great three quarter of a season in 2017, two wins, getting to number one. Since then she has only one win and her driving distance and accuracy has gone down. Before the swing change she had three five wins and contented for more. Also her driving distance and accuracy were above average. However she seem to be turning it around this year.

Interesting stat:
Since 2008, the Koreans have won EVERY odd-numbered year US Women's Open. However, they have only won the even-numbered year Opens twice, the last time in 2012. So, the trend seems to be against the Sisters this year.
Odd-Numbered year winners: 2009 Eun Hee Ji 2011 So Yeon Ryu 2013 Inbee Park 2015 In Gee Chun 2017 Sung Hyun Park 2019 Six
Even numbered years: 2008: Inbee Park 2012: Na Yeon Choi
2018 saw Hyo Joo Kim lose in a playoff, and 2016 had Sung Hyun Park come thisclose to making the playoff. But both lost.

If a Korean does break the trend, it might probably be a player on the way up, still early in her career. The three big KLPGA stars in the field -- Hee Jeong Lim, Hye Jin Choi and Hae Ran Ryu -- would appear to be the best bets to pull it off. Lim has been in a bit of a slump, but both Ryu and Choi are coming off of a 1-2 finish in their last KLPGA events. Hae Ran seems like exactly the kind of player who could have a surprise win: young, virtually unknown, KLPGA player, no (?) experience playing in the States as a pro, long off the tee but decent all-around game. I do apologize to her for officially cursing her. Whatcha think? I also say watch Seon Woo Bae, who has quietly played pretty well all year (including a sub-70 scoring average in Korea).

Hae Ran Ryu played quite a bit in the States as a junior.

Hee Jeong Lim is playing with two big hitters. However Nelly Korda is really nice, so that is a plus. She usually don't worry about being out driven, she just plays her own game.

Lim and Big Ryu are not ready at this level. Bae is seriously good and did not not look out of place at Bedminster ... and I don't think she has had a slump in her relatively short career. She could do some damage this week.
... and now for the player formerly known as Cyborg ... who would have blown up the world if she had turned pro and joined the LPGA right after Bedminster ... but, the magic she had as an amateur isn't there anymore ... I'll eat my words when she proves me wrong.
