A field of 108 tees off Friday (and Ha Neul Kim is back). Don't know how strong the field is...not a big money event and the first major is next week. SBS Golf will carry 90 minutes of Round Two and Three at 5 PM local time.
Even through the gibberish fog of the Bing Translator, Bo Mee Lee's spirit shines through in this JLPGA article:
Second place was disappointing! IBM game with blazing red!
"Cyberagent ladies golf tournament" crane dance country club West course (Chiba Prefecture)
2nd tour record four-game series. And mortification seem four times, but the different perception of the IBM I. "I was happy in second place. Why? Losing only 1 player. I think it is a great thing "and her trademark smile, so keep. "But must be reflection after all that losing. Because the human shame. Finished in 2nd place out of mental weakness. I think that putting the last does not stroke with confidence ".
Built the keep ranked first in putting average, birdie average and Mercedes rankings, but still won, first place is ideal. "This course is difficult. And Fort green, hard and fast. Fairway also narrow the winning score is not about how it would. It must be clinics not more firmly "and telling his own. Though the diversion is needed. "The Red (nail) have since wanted to win this week." In blazing red represents the fighting spirit than the silver.
Ha Neul Kim finished +5 (T-35) and visitor Soo Jin Yang finished +4 (T-29). I'm guessing this was a warm-up for Soo Jin, as Japan's first major is next week.
JY Shin birdied #18 to avoid a playoff...it was funny to here the broadcasters say "wire-to-wire" in English.
Despite playing in the 2nd to last group, Bo Mi Lee received no TV coverage. Her updated stats put her 1st in points, 2nd in money, 2nd in scoring avg., 4th in GIR, 4th in birdie avg., and 1st in putting avg. (I assume that's putts per GIR)
Erika Kikuchi remains 1st on the money list
Sun Ju Ahn had her best finish of 2015. At the par-4 16th, she overshot the green badly, but pitched in from Tokyo for a birdie.
Nice black shorts, Ms. Sky!!! Is this the beginning of the end for Sky?...she hasn't played well all year.
Don't be surprised if she's on the LPGA next year. I think she took the jump to the JLPGA after the KLPGA f**ked her over two years ago and forced her to skip the LPGA Q-school. Her stint in Japan feels like a transition year.
Ha Neul will be OK. She's had slumps before. The year before her 2011 POY season was pretty weak by her standards. Not sure she'll be on the LPGA next year (she has Japanese sponsors), but we can always hope!
Congrats to Jiyai Shin! Always nice to hear about her grabbing another trophy!
