Another ho-hum round for So Yeon. Missed five fairways, missed five greens, zero for three sand saves, 33 putts. Not much else to say but that she just have to play better tomorrow.
Youngin is still suffering from growing pains. Not to worried she is young and inexperienced.

Showing golfers who are struggling is just bad television. Shelly Long was the best actor on Cheers but you can’t do 30 minutes straight of Diane.

Kristen Gilman had an OK round; but she needs to speed up her learning curve.

Well, Tiger missed less than 1 cut per year since 1996. And it might be different if we were talking Annika instead of Lexi. It can’t make sense to show stars often while they are visibly struggling.

Round 1 Wow, quite a good day for most of the Sisters, with a few unfortunate exceptions. I wouldn't have expected Chella to be the top player after round 1. And she went out first to boot. I don't know if I expect her to keep it up, but we'll see. Meanwhile, several of the players who have been doing well made a mark. 2019 winners Jin Young Ko, Sung Hyun Park and Eun Hee Ji all shot in the 60s, and Inbee Park, Minjee Lee and Sei Young Kim are also right in the hunt. Perhaps the funniest moment of the day came when Kerr, playing with Ji, made a hole in one on the same hole that Ji aced last year to beat Kerr. They both got a kick out of it, as did I. Hyo Joo, Inky and In Gee all had respectable starts with 70s. That's two decent rounds in a row for In Gee; almost a streak! Alas, Ji Hyun Oh imploded mightily with a 78. Yeesh! Looking at her stats, what killed her was her putting. Normally she's an excellent putter, so I'm guessing she just isn't used to the types of greens she faced here. Everything else - distance off the tee, greens in reg -- was fine. But 36 putts just ain't gonna do it. Well, even if she misses the cut tomorrow, I hope she learns something for next time. Lucky Six and So Yeon also played poorly, but Lee has a habit of starting slowly, so hopefully she has her crap round out of her system. No idea when we will see Ryu get back to the top, but she still has time. Hwaiting!! Jin Young Inbee MJ and Amy Rocket

Well it's probably official, So Yeon plus three will miss the cut. Probably her worst start ever on the LPGA Tour. Not sure about the KLPGA, because I only got bits and pieces of her time there. If her first two starts hadn't been no cut tournaments. She more than likely would have missed the cut in those. Because of the scores of her first two rounds. She has time to practice and fix what has gone wrong. She didn't get bailed out this time missing greens, because of having 67 putts total. With her strong finish last year, I really expected a much better start. Oh well this golf is a tough game to predict what's going to happen.

Koreans winning a lot lately. Sung Hyun is far from a sure thing this weekend but I feel it is hers to win, even with a B or B+ game. In other words I don't expect much from the likes of Suwannapura, Uribe, Munoz or Lopez. Then again you never know on this tour.
