The weight of all the negative publicity surrounding YG Entertainment has led to its co-founder and public face, Yang Hyun-suk (left in accompanying photo), stepping down from the company. It was actually his younger brother Yang Min-suk (right) who ran the day to day affairs of the company as CEO, but he too has chosen to resign. Collectively the brothers controlled approximately 20% of the shares in the publicly traded entertainment and sports marketing agency, which took a hit on the Seoul exchange not just from the Burning Sun scandal but from the more recent but unrelated drug scandal surrounding B.I. Back to the main protagonist in this protracted legal drama that has dragged so many through the mud, we find Seungri finally having to answer his draft notice now that the prosecution is done with its investigation. That means that he'll be answering the charges against him in a military court. ...And that trial did indeed get under way last Wednesday the 16th at the Ground Operations Command General Military Court in Yongin, where the former Big Bang member denied all the charges against him save for one: violating the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. The other six defendants in the main scandal will be tried separately in a regular civilian court, most likely in Seoul.
Meanwhile we have a resolution in the cases of two other former K-pop stars whose secret filming and sharing of sex videos was uncovered by the Burning Sun investigators:Kevin
