Props to Happyfan, for doing the media's job for them, while getting no credit for it.

What a nailbiter, but such a thrilling victory. Hot 6!
Lexi ended on a high note, getting a birdie and securing a T-2. For awhile there I thought she'd be making another grand announcement that she's off social media again.

Ugh, I have to settle for pics and videos only for another year.

I wanted to see her strut up the last fairway with victory in hand.

YAHOO!!!!!!Way to go Lucky Six!! Man o man, what an amazing way to break into the winner's circle on tour! The Majors this year are like a throwback to the KLPGA circa 2017! All day she was cool and collected while all around here were losing their minds. Then she got a big break on ten when her chip shot from well under the green hit the flag and stopped dead. She followed that up the only way she possibly could: by birdieing the killer 11th hole (and for the third time this week!). When she got to 8 under, that's when I started to feel nerves. I knew about her past slip ups when she had a lead with a few holes to go, and when she bogied 16, oh man... But it ended the perfect way: with her score at *six* under. I had a feeling Thompson was going to go south as I mentioned earlier, but it's too bad that Jin Young Ko slipped back after a great run that saw her rise onto the leaderboard. Still, a top 20 is not bad for an off week. Inbee had a nice rally to get into the top 20, too, but the best Sister move came from So Yeon. She has struggled all year, but when she gets on a tough course, she can still get it done. A shame she missed that eagle on 15, or it would have been even better. But great job! But it all comes back to Hot Six and her AMAZING week. Soooo touching when she broke down during the trophy celebration. Even her manager couldn't stop her own tears and the translation temporarily stopped. HOT SIX HWAITING!!! PS - are they going to engrave the '6' on the trophy after her name? That would be rad! Lee6 is proving to be a very popular winner. (The controversy pulled in a pretty large audience of the men’s only golf media and men’s only golf fans but this isn’t about those chuds.)
So we’ll need a bigger tent for the Lee6 fans but only on SS do we know it’s not Lee6, it’s Hot6.

golfweek.com/2019/06/02/jeongeun-lee6-captures-us-womens-open-championship/As the last group came up the 18th hole, So Yeon Ryu stood near the scoring area with a bottle of champagne waiting at her feet. Ryu won this championship eight years ago for her first victory in the U.S. and eventually rose to No. 1 in the world. What did the thoughtful Ryu make of Haney’s comments? “I am hoping more people are going to recognize women’s golf,” said Ryu. “To be honest, I sort of feel like because of what he said, maybe people will start to look on the LPGA more because they might feel sort of shame not to know LPGA golf, and they don’t want to be dumb like Hank Haney. It could be like noise marketing. “I’m trying to see the bright side.”

Speaking of Grant Boone he’s a pretty good follow and advocate for women’s pro golf. He and Foltz did some heavy lifting this week online in defense of the players, as did so many others.
