What is with this incessant marching band music everytime they show a highlight or leaderboard? It's the same six horn notes and snare drums over and over.
I feel like I'm watching 5 hours of halftime at the Rose Bowl.

MHL moved up to T-47...she might be in the 30s before the day is over.
I had no idea that Esther the wunderkind has six top-10s on LET this season...that plus 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee...she's back to Even and shooting +5 on her first 8 holes today.
The market price for Team Pano membership cards just hit the storm cellar...+4 yesterday and another +4 thru 13 holes today. But, I might drop by the Polo Junior in Jersey City in late June to see what the fuss is about.

Before the weather delay, the online broadcaster guys were gushing about how "beautiful" Sung Hung's swing is...and they are not the first ones to do it. Where is this Kool-Aid coming from? I assume these guys are talking about looks, not results, but what's beautiful about it? She's got a big dip with a big back arch/bend to the right on the way down to the ball. I hope she can get out of bed without assistance in her 30s. I could think of many women players with beautiful swings, including Mannika, Shi Hyun Ahn, MHL, Karrie, Rachel Hetherington, Ayaka Matsumori, So Hyeon Ahn, etc. I recall Jerry Foltz saying Eri Okayama had a beautiful swing at last year's WBO and he was right. But, Sung Hung? Bleh.

Just before Minjee's disaster.
UPDATE: It just hit me, who is Chung? Karen Chung? Jae Eun Chung? Il Mi Chung? Reminds me of Round One in Lancaster where MHL was grouped with Charley H. and Ariya J. The 10th green scoreboard greeted their arrival this way:
LEE MI RIM YANG JUTANUGARN A

For the second time in four years, qualifier Naomi Ko got sent home in a body bag...man, a lot of these USWO qualifier tournaments are Bait-and-Switch. You win a qualifier and you start thinking, "Hey, maybe I'm hot s*** after all." Then you arrive at The Show and they toss you into the deep end with the barracudas...after two days you're fished out with a strainer and ejected with your participation badge. Well, I hope she has a really successful senior season at NC State. My mistake, she just finished her senior season.

Jin Young Ko was climbing up the Leaderboard. Then from out of nowhere an unlikely double bogey on seventeen happened. I was surprised that she even missed the green, really didn't expect more than a bogey. Anyway at even par with two days to go, she isn't out of it. Mamiko would drop down but come right back with an even par round. That kept her atop the Leaderboard, which is a good thing. So Yeon at minus one through fourteen holes. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing to finish tomorrow. Hoping it's a good thing, of course. Well one of the USC Trojan Amateurs, Jennifer Chan will make the cut at plus three. Minus one today was a great score for her. Gabriela Ruffels can make it if she birdies five of her last six holes tomorrow.

Fox shows a million more shots than the GIC. Fun to watch.

Round 2 The Sisters did a lot of good things today. The grouping of Inbee Park/Jin Young Ko/Minjee Lee were especially hot, but each one of them had one disaster hole that kept them from getting to the top. Minjee will have nightmares about 11: three straight chips up the hill before she got it to stay up there. Jin Young was looking great in her outfit today, and it looked like she knew it. And her game was fab, too, but that weird double on 17 really took the wind out of her sails. Inbee putted really well today; especially impressive was the lag from 40 feet to a couple of inches in the pitch dark on 18. If it weren't for missing a couple of short putts on 16 (?) she would be in one of the final two groups, but she still has plenty of time to right the ship. Jeongeun Lee 6 was really sharp today and got a lot of TV attention to boot. They even started a human interest story about her handicapped dad, a sure sign they're thinking she might be a factor this weekend. I'm rooting like crazy for her! What did Sei Young do to the Fox people? She didn't show up once on the broadcast despite being on the leaderboard all day. So Yeon is hanging around. One or two more good holes in benign morning conditions tomorrow and she could be a big factor. One bummer was In Gee; they showed her bunker shot on 11 that dribbled down off the green. But she made a 20 foot bogey save, so her one TV moment was kind of cool. Sisters Hwaiting! Inbee Park Hot Six -- it was funny listening to the one commentator try to figure out what she had drawn on her ball -- he decided she must have spent some time working on some art for it, but probably because he talked before he got a good look at it. It's just a big six, dude! Sei Young Kim: hey, Fox, remember me? Jin Young Ko Minjee Lee Sung Hyoooon Park Amy Yang So Yeon Ryu Jenny Shin Mi Hyang Lee In Gee Chun Ji Hyun Kim Jiyu Jung -- I know nothing about her Su Oh Mirim Lee -- back to Earth today Lightning strikes near the 11th green. Laugh of the day: Beth Daniel tweeted this photo and added: 'even God can't hit the 11th green'.

Pic from yesterday...DK blew it this morning...needed to make a birdie coming in to reach +3, but bogeyed #15 and finished +5.

Celine Boutier is the real deal. She's been playing great all year. If she wins, it would blow Haney's mind: A Thai player from Europe who speaks fluent English with a French accent.

I guess it was a good thing that So Yeon finished her round this morning. She added two birdies to finish minus three.
