Not a great start for Youngin Chun's first tournament. The first thing that she needs to do is eliminate the big numbers. As I recalled is that she had four double and one triple bogey total two days. They didn't show the stats but two of the doubles were on par threes. So it's hard to tell which part of her game needs improving.
An eighty one for Muni He and Charley Hull was surprising.

Today is not only the moving day but also a second cut for Top 35 and ties.

Players like Leona who go home after Saturday's round get paid, don't they? I assume YES, since the Texas VOA Shootout paid the players who got cut after Round Three.

Scoring has become very difficult in the afternoon; it'll be a very different leaderboard in 5 hous.

Players like Leona who go home after Saturday's round get paid, don't they? I assume YES, since the Texas VOA Shootout paid the players who got cut after Round Three. I would hope so but I wouldn't assume it. The Texas Shootout was a regular ~140 field event so the players who were cut on Saturday were still in the top 70. This event starts with over 300 players and gets to 70 (M&F) remaining only after the Saturday cut. If the players at #36-65 don't get paid, that might help explain the poor depth-of-field rating.

Round 3 GREAT third day by Mirim Lee. She is still 6 back, but she made up 6 shots on the leader today, so if she has a similar comeback tomorrow a win is still doable. I would love to see it, but as long as she gets some air time and tries her best, I'll be rooting for her. Su Oh did not play well today, but hung in there and will be in the final group tomorrow. How cool would a victory in front of her home fans be? And her first LPGA win besides? (It's still hard for me to think of this as a true LPGA event, but it is). Haru did not play well, either, but she will be in the second to last group with Mirim and is just three back herself. Alison Lee played horribly, but she made the second cut, so baby steps. Christina Kim also will get Sunday action, but Minjee Lee just missed the cut, as did the Korean amateur Hong. Oh well. Sisters hwaiting! PS - Imagine if you drag yourself halfway around the world to play this low paying event, then don't get any money because you miss the second cut? I sure hope the second cut ladies get SOMETHING. You are not going to encourage the LPGA players to adopt this event with rules like that. The other limited field Asian events at this time are no-cut AND pay much better.

Poor Webby shot 82 and got sent to the showers. Does she still give out amateur freebie trips to the USWO if she is not playing in it? I saw Karis and Greeny following her at Bedminster in 2017, but she was playing that week.

I finally know the name of that high-mileage Amazon on Kaufman's bag...it's Audrey Gerdes...she's been there since the start of the 2016 season. I must give her credit for loyalty after KK stunk it up last year.
