Youngin Chun started her first LPGA tournament, like she started her first Symetra Tour tournament. Way down the Leader Board at plus four. Maybe she can have a great second round and make the cut. Unlike missing the cut her first tournament on the Symetra Tour.
The broadcast was pretty sad. If that was a sample of the future of the LPGA. They are in a lot of trouble.

Round 1 Welcome to the LPGA, Youngin! It will be interesting to see just what level she really is. Based on her Symetra career, she might not be ready for the big leagues. Yet, she has made a career so far of upending expectations. Hopefully she won't get too down on herself, it's a marathon, not a sprint! OK start for Mirim; Minjee needs to pick up the pace a little in round 2. I'm not too surprised to see Su Oh do well; I think she has a lot of untapped potential. Alison Lee was a surprise, but perhaps she's found a way to focus for 2019? Let's keep an eye on the Korean amateurs. They are certainly good enough to win this tournament. Hwaiting!

Suzuka Yamaguchi still 18yrs highschooler from japan had 6 birdies and one double bogey for a -4. Pleasantly surprised that Dean Heardon on her bag...he really knows how to pick out the best...
also nice to see haru nomura -5 near the top of the leaderboard

It's incredible how well Pei Ying Tsai has been playing since Taiwan Women's Open. She would be in Rolex top 10 if she keeps it going for more than one year.

Here is one of the local TV stations carrying the event and we might be able to stream it at the website below:
Approximate air times (AEDT) (subject to change):
ABC Thursday 7, February: 3:00pm – 6:00pm Friday 8, February: 3:00pm – 6:00pm Saturday 9, February: 1:00pm – 7:00pm Sunday 10, February: 1:00pm – 6:00pm
You can also catch the broadcast on your computer, tablet, smartphone and other devices through ABC's streaming platform: Geoblocked outside of Australia.Kevin
Here's the specific link for the tournament:
The Round Two broadcast starts in just under three hours...although I'm not confident it will work. When I click on the other ABC channels I get this message:
Video Player Error
Sorry, there has been a technical error with this video stream. This issue has been logged with our technical team for investigation.
It doesn't say geo-blocked, but maybe that's reason.

With this leaderboard, they could remake the movie 'The Dirty Dozen', but rename it 'The Destitute Dozen'...Whan can play the Lee Marvin role. Somebody from this gang is going to get off Skid Row on Sunday...crap, MHL should have been here.
Mo Stacks should have stayed at the beach, 74-74.

Haru Nomura and Kim Kaufman have opened a 4-shot lead; it may be lights out for most of the field.

Lots of dust flying over the course setup.
Par is just a social construct, man. Still nice to see the women going low too though.

Serious discrepancy...lpga.com says Pei Ying Tsai shot 69-71, while the tourney website says 71-72.
The top-65 is the Round Two cut line...bye bye to Robin Choi

Round 2 Nice to see Su Oh having a good week. She seems to play well here most years, good luck to her this weekend. Also two Sisters who have not had solid recent records, Alison Lee and Haru Nomura. Mirim struggled today but still made the cut. Ah well, can't get a top two every week... I was hoping to see Grace Kim in action, but she collapsed to an 81 today and is out. Youngin played only marginally better today than yesterday. She has some work to do it seems if she wants to hang with the big girls. Biggest disappointment was Minjee. I was hoping we'd get to see that budding superstar form, but her putting was really off today. She still made the cut, but barely. Didn't expect to see Webb outplay her. I gotta say, this event still feels more like an LET event than an LPGA one. Hopefully they can get more stars here next year. Sisters hwaiting!

Kristen Gillman is paired with Olivia Cowan; their paths don't cross each other often.
