What is going on with the KLPGA website...it has been kaput for days and days. Are they fighting off a commando raid from Pyeongyang? Meanwhile, the next stop is the Gaya CC in the NW outskirts of Busan, starts Friday. Q Baek will not be there to defend. SBS Golf will show it live at Noon local time for five hours each day.

In Gee Chun is playing her sixth straight event; three on the LPGA, two in Korea. She won her last start. Iron woman!
Hyo Joo is also going for six straight at the Swinging Skirts, although she had to miss the end of the last round at the LotteMart KLPGA event. Last week she bounced back with a fourth.

Regarding the tournament's name, this refers to the SaintNine golf ball, made by Korea's Nexen tire co. The white-colored ones (3-piece & 4-piece) are rated as Low spin off a driver and High spin off a short iron, per the USGA approved ball list. That combo works for me! However, I have never seen a SaintNine ball in person. How fortunate that we can be rescued by a seller in Korea on Ebay. He'll sell you a dozen of the best ones (SaintNine 'M' 4-piece) and give you free shipping...for only $99.50. Per the Ebay seller, the white ones are made in Taiwan, while Nexen's 3-piece colored balls (rated Low and Medium for spin) are made in China. The geographical distinction is quite logical.

So Jin needs to spend less time on fashion and more time on the range. I think that she is capable of playing a lot better than she has played lately.
Either that or she has been injured in the past. I don't remember any.

Round 3: Jin Young Ko Claims Second Career TitleYoon Kyung Heo started the day just a shot out of the lead, but she was never in sync all day and never threatened the lead. Rookie Gyeol Park shot a great 66 to vault up the leaderboard, finishing 9th for her first career top ten. Song Yi Ahn, playing in the final group, faltered, although she did finish third. Thus, the tournament in the end came down to a battle between Seung Hyun Lee and Jin Young Ko, both playing in the final group with Ahn. Song Yi Ahn After being tied at 11 under much of the back nine, a birdie by Jin Young Ko on the par 5 16th moved her to a one shot lead over Lee. But Lee struck back with a birdie from ten feet on 17, and once again they were tied. Jin Young Ko Seung Hyun Lee On the 18th, Lee had an 18 footer for birdie but left it just short. Ko's was about twelve feet from a different angle. She backed off once, stroked it and... draino! Victory! And so Jin Young Ko collects her first win of 2015 and second of her career. Congratulations to her! Scores: 1. Jin Young Ko 68 -13 2. Seung Hyun Lee 69 -12 3. Song Yi Ahn 71 -10 4. Ye Jin Kim 65, Seon Woo Bae 68, Chae Eun Jung 68 -9 Notables: 9.
