Samchully is a Korean gas and energy company. A field of 132 tees off Friday at Island Resort near Incheon. SBS Golf will carry five hours per day at Noon local time. I noticed that their graphics are now showing the players' names in English, as well as Korean.

Another original creation from the fashion house of Yang Soo Jin Je Yoon Jang whompin’ the Honma 727 Tour World TW 430...I think. I don’t know where that purple color came from...maybe it’s a trick of the light, or she’s got a prototype. Ji Ae Hwang whippin’ (unsuccessfully?) the Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Diamond Ji Hee Kim whackin' the 2014 TaylorMade Jetspeed

I think N. Korea dropped a bomb on the KLPGA website...can't connect to it. Soo Jin Yang went conservative today.

The KLPGA website is down for the count, but I did find some of the scores on a blog. In Gee Chun finished the first round tied for the lead with two other players. In Gee Talks to the press Soo Jin's look for the day prompted this deathless comment from a Korean netizen: 'Super Mario?' LOL! A few other players who played later: Chae Young Yoon Yoon Kyung Heo Ji Hyun Oh Last week's winner Bo Kyung Kim Co-leader Yeon Jung Seo Chae Eun Jung Da Na Kang, who looks like she could be Chae Young Yoon's younger Sister Rookie Han Sul Ji

Round 2: Chun Leads, Jin Young Ko One Back
The KLPGA scoreboard is still offline. But I was able to glean that In Gee Chun grabbed a one shot lead on Saturday, shooting a 69 to move to 5 under total. Jin Young Ko, who played with Chun the first two days, is at 4 under after her own 69. In third place are Ji Hyun Kim and rookie Jin Young Park. They are at 3 under. One more day! Soo Jin's look for the day prompted this deathless comment from a Korean netizen: 'Super Mario?' LOL! Conversation when Soo Jin walks into the pro shop at a private course in S. Korea. Head pro to assistant pro..."Hey Son......do we have a tee time for the Beverly Hillbillies" Could you imagine all the 'hairy' eyeballs when she walked onto the 1st tee.

I was hoping Soo Jin Yang would be wearing one of her "costumes" on the day I attended the 2013 USWO, but no such luck. I think they've been washed out today...the KLPGA website still six feet under...SBS Golf is replaying Round Two, but it looks like In Gee Chun has been declared the winner.

Are the rules different on the KLPGA Tour? Does this still count as an official victory?

Ji Hee Kim whackin' the 2014 TaylorMade Jetspeed On Friday at Golftown.....I was looking at the Honma clubs. The stiff graphite shafts felt like limp noodles and the grip size felt like women's grips. I can't really imagine any one shelling out $1000+ for a driver or $5000+ for a set of these irons except as vanity sticks. If ya wanna be a playa.....ya gotta play Muira's. The Jetspeed was working well for me on Friday...hopefully it continues....such an under-rated club with adjust-ability that can be had for cheap nowadays.

Hye Youn Kim in her rightful place at the head of the table. It still remember the first time I ever saw a Honma club in person. It was a golf shop (long gone) on Rte. 1 in Edison, NJ around 1990. It was a beautiful persimmon driver with a graphite shaft...might have been a woman's club. Needless to say, the price was insane. I don't know what to say about Honma, as I am not an experienced gear ho! You may have answered your own question; maybe Honma works better for women pros than men. I recall Mi Hyun Kim making a comment that she thought the big non-Asian brands didn't make clubs that worked well for small Asian women. She was swinging Pings and Callaways before ending her career with Honma. Are there any non-Asian men on the PGA Tour who use Honma? I remember Curtis Strange switching to Maruman from MacGregor(I think) after his 2nd USO victory and he never won again on the regular tour. Aside from prestige, brands like Honma and Maruman are artistically blinged-out like crazy...another reason to charge a fortune for them. I'm reminded of a train trip I took into Manhattan about six winters ago. My plan to was to visit/window shop every place with golf gear within walking distance of the station. That included chains like Golfsmith and New York Golf Center, along with a couple of independent stores run by Asians...these are the guys that had every exotic Japanese brand imaginable. Hmmm...might be fun to do it again. BTW, Manhattan's Koreatown is near the station, roughly between 5th & 6th Avenues on 31st & 32nd Streets. Japan's military empire fell in 1945, but their golf gear empire will still be ruling Asia a hundred years from now. I'll keep your T/M Jetspeed endorsement in mind in case I decide to retire my 2005-era Cleveland Launcher Titanium 460.

I'll keep your T/M Jetspeed endorsement in mind in case I decide to retire my 2005-era Cleveland Launcher Titanium 460. If not for being sponsored by Honma.....I think very few JLPGA/KLPGA or LPGA pros would play Honma.....I'm sure all are playing them with after market shafts.....many gals and some PGA pros love the Graphite Design shaft....I'd like them too...but don't want to spend $400/shaft. I feel Honma's are status symbol clubs. I saw a sign and a putter for a set of Maruman irons at the Richmond, BC Golftown for pocket change....$79,995....NO...that's not a typo. I use to game a Launcher too from 2005-2008....an awesome club. BUT Seriously Phil.....you are giving up forgiveness and distance (minimum 10 yards). I'm sure you can find a near new JetSpeed for $50-$70 in the US. Another club that has depreciated like crazy and cheap is the Adams Speedline S....if you want a more players version....the LS is suppose to be nice....I think you could easily find the S for under $50 and the LS for $50-$60. All 3 above also have some adjustabilty. I'm sure you might find some of the above in the used club bins if you go window shopping in NYC.
