Heavy rain suspended Round Three...24 players did not finish. 1 South Korea CHO, A-Yean -7 T2 Japan NISHIMURA, Yuna -6 T2 Thailand THITIKUL, Atthaya -6 T4 Philippines SASO, Yuka -5 T4 Japan YASUDA, Yuka -5 T4 Philippines GO, Lois Kaye -5 T4 South Korea JEONG, Yunji -5 8 New Zealand KEH, Wenyung -4 9 Japan INAMI, Mone -1 T10 Japan YOSHIDA, Yuri Par T10 South Korea RYU, Hae-ran Par I noticed Ayeon Cho playing a colored ball. In the broadcast, they had a prerecorded (translated) interview with her and she said Mi Hyang Lee was her golf idol. Further research shows that she was an invite(far left) of Chairman Moon at the 2016 LPGA Volvik Championship...shot 77-71, MC. ******** Golf Australia has brief interviews of their players here: www.youtube.com/user/GolfAust/videos

A four-way playoff with no Koreans! Maybe the rest of Asia-Pac is getting its act together. 1-Thailand THITIKUL, Atthaya -8 T2 Japan NISHIMURA, Yuna -8 T2 New Zealand KEH, Wenyung -8 T2 Philippines SASO, Yuka -8 5 Japan YASUDA, Yuka -6 6 South Korea CHO, A-Yean -5 7 South Korea LIM, Heejeong -4 8 Philippines GO, Lois Kaye -3 9 South Korea JEONG, Yunji -2 10 Japan YOSHIDA, Yuri +1 They played the 18th hole twice, which first eliminated Wenyung Keh. Keh's father is Malaysian and her mother is Vietnamese. She's a junior at U-Wash. Then Yuka Saso was knocked out at #18. Then they moved to the 12th hole where Yuna Nishimura was eliminated...the good news is that as runner-up she gets a pass into the final stage of qualifying for the 2018 Ricoh WBO. Watched the 4th rd...GREAT stuff.
Atthaya is a PLAYA...plays forged Honma irons....seems fairly tall and quite strong for a 15 year old and the youngest LET winner. I look forward to seeing her play with Dumbo tonight and at the ANA and WBO. Hopefully Mannika sets her up on a nice JUICE program....I expect her to get even longer with age...unlike FAKE Ko who has lost distance since she was 15 years old.
Saso has some great club head speed.
If Whan wasn't so racist...he should have been there on Sunday....considering the HSBC is being played on the same course this week. He could get a glimpse of the yellow skins who will be on the LPGA tour in the next 3-5 years.
Hopefully IMG hires Virada to cover the HSBC this week....and they show her face.
