So Yeon Ryu has 158 starts in her career and 76 top tens. Jessica Korda has 153 starts and just 26 top tens. How is it possible that they both have 5 wins? LMAO. Another candidate for post of the year. Tonyj: I LUV ya man...what an eloquent way to say that SYR is a big CHOKER. I appreciate how you like to shove things into SYRfan's face....KUDOS! Let the K-Drama begin!!

How do you always let 3putt comments get to you. He gets you every time. My comment was based on hearing on Golf Central that Jessie has the same amount of wins as Ryu. It really surprised me, so I looked it up. I pointed out how much better a player Ryu has been and how hard it is to believe they both have the same amount of wins. I misunderstood what you meant. I apologize and have deleted my post.

Who's who in this analogy? Both had 19 wins on the PGA Tour but Kite had 209 top tens to Crenshaw's 144, so SYR could be Kite. However, Crenshaw had a 0-8 record in play-offs so he easily could've had 4 or 5 more wins.

It would be interesting to see the final round scoring average for SYR and Jess when they were leading, or within 4 shots of the lead going into the final round. For several seasons it was no surprise than So Yeon played poorly on Sundays when in contention. She was certainly not the only player on tour to suffer from Sundayitis. Gerina comes to mind.

So Yeon's relative lack of wins has been the ongoing story of her career. If you figure that, conservatively, a player should win 10 - 15% of the time she makes a top ten, that would give her at least 8 - 10 wins since joining the tour. More likely, a player with her constant presence on the leaderboard should be in 12 - 14 win territory. But if you exclude the US Women's Open win, which came before she was a tour member, she only has four wins since joining the LPGA, and two of those came last year. I do feel she has markedly improved in the last year, so it wouldn't surprise me to see her have a massive season sometime soon. I recall that Inbee Park had just one win in her first 5 seasons, despite notching numerous top tens in Majors. We all know what happened to Inbee starting around 2012. Remember that when she won the Evian that season, she told the press that she honestly wondered if she would ever win again (!).

Other than the Australian announcers, who calls her that? Drives me nuts, Jess Korda this... Jess Korda that... If they're gonna do that, they should also say "Nell Korda, Cris Kerr, Brit Lincicome, So Ryu, Lex Thompson, Shan Feng, etc..."

Leave So Yeon alone. She has won major twice, and reached number one. That she has the same number of wins as Jessica is mostly a credit to Jessica--that's a lot of wins in that many starts--not a mark against So Yeon. If we are going to pick on somebody for contending and not winning enough, let us look no further than the Moriyas and Gerinas of the world. IMO. Hell, throw Michelle Wie under the bus before So Yeon. So Yeon seems to have reached or approached the ceiling of her potential and that is more than most players can say.

Steph Na, Tiff Joh... I even heard an "Ali Lee" which was surprising. I assumed it was sort of customary Australian thing to do.

So far, SYR has been sauntering to the bank and CHOKing at home from gulping too much Dom Perignon with QueenBee. (See my next post)
