Nice photo-shopped pic of the SS Feng. The final field is set at 81, which would include the winner of the Toto if they're not in already...Bronte Law is the first alternate. This one runs Wednesday thru Saturday. No Muni, but she has to go to class every once in a while. Nice to see Weiwei Zhang tee it up again in the big leagues. It looks like they'll have LIVE coverage on GC at 11 PM EST Tuesday thru Friday. ********* Speaking of China, I think the KLPGA/CLPGA China Women's Open for Dec. 15 thru 17 might be in trouble. Hyundai has sponsored this one in the past, but no sponsor name is on the KLPGA website schedule...plus, it doesn't even mention what golf course it will be on. The English version of the CLPGA website has "(TBC)" next to this event...whatever that means.

The KLPGA website still shows it, but I found some articles from September 12 saying Hyundai would not be renewing its sponsorship of this event. ******** Burnt-to-a-crisp Yani is now in the field. The groups are posted...nothing caught my eye, except for the Kordas playing together with Cold Fish. Also, slumbering Inky (only one competitive round since Evian) will play with Moriya and Ariya.

The KLPGA website still shows it, but I found some articles from September 12 saying Hyundai would not be renewing its sponsorship of this event. Relations between China and South Korea had been in a deep freeze over the summer after Seoul asked the US to deploy a Thermal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile battery to counter the growing threat from North Korea. Beijing sees it as a threat to them since the system's range could conceivably cover much of northeast China as well, so they've responded with an economic slowdown between the two countries. Chinese tour groups no longer visited South Korea, K-pop and K-dramas disappeared from Chinese media and Korean merchants with outlets in China saw sales plummet as consumers were urged by state media to stay away. Lotte Group, on whose land the missile battery sits, was especially hard hit as 75 of their 99 supermarkets in China were closed because of alleged violations of local ordinances with sales at those that remained open laggard at best. The supply chains to local Chinese plants of Korean manufacturers such as Hyundai were disrupted as local suppliers slowed their deliveries to them.
There are signs now that this economic retaliation may be easing, but probably too late to save this year's China Women's Open if Hyundai is no longer involved.

Again...the brilliance of the Chinese shows through. They have paired the Korda & Jutanugarn sista's together. Too bad Ms. Pouty Face is skipping this...otherwise we could have seen some MHL & Lewis DRAMA.

Jessica needs to win before her sister passes her. Too talented to go so long without even a top ten.

I think the one on the far right is Xiang Sui. Xi Yu Lin had a T-30 in Abu Dhabi Simin Feng was T-52 in Abu Dhabi

You with the toast meter ratings picture should have picked up on that Yani reference right away. Delacour hasn't done anything yet to be in a toaster. Tuesday practice:

NA YEON!!! She chipped in for birdie at #9, went to -4. She also looked pretty good in a yellow top/black pants combo. PLANET CHINA is completely over the moon regarding her start (except for our Van City correspondent).

The Korea/Weebly/TV streaming sites are out of commission, but it's usually rare and temporary. Of course, it's not needed if you have GC...although Weebly is needed if you get sick and tired of hearing Sung Hyooooooon Park on GC.
