Bad news. Golf is a young person's game nowadays.

Really, it always has been. Some of the older players can keep it going as long as they are at the peak of physical health and fitness. Se Ri's injuries made it impossible for her to have that long career.

Lorena did it the right way. So did Jim Brown.

Se Ri Pak has just withdrawn from the 2015 U.S. Women's Open. Maybe Se Ri can join Tiger and Wie when they go visit Oscar Goldman for some bionic later this month.

Bad news. Golf is a young person's game nowadays. Mrs. Doubtfire did OK at Chambers...but had no chance in winning.....I'm sure he was happy enough not to trunk slam on Friday.

Monty shows that you don't have to be an athlete to be a golfer.
There is already talk that the US Open will return to Chambers Bay. Those USGA morons want to prove they know what they are doing. The northwest certainly deserves a better viewing venue than Chambers Bay. I won't be attending. I plan to go to the US Open at the Los Angeles Country Club in 2023--if I am still alive.

By the time the USO comes back to Chambers....the greens will be all poa, bulldozers will flatten the mounds and bullet trains will race by in the year 2050.
Sahalee is too small and tight to host a men's major nowadays.

Lancasteronline.com is the main Internet news source that covers the area. I looked it over and they have a dedicated site for the USWO: womensopenlancaster.com/It has many articles already, including this one about C. Kim, NYC, and Jane Park playing LCC on June 16 (w/ pix & videos): womensopenlancaster.com/christina-kim-l-c-c-is-perfection/The USGA has also released the Thursday & Friday tee times (which includes three TBDs): www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/championships/2015/u-s--women-s-open/starting-times.htmlI quickly looked up Mi Hyang Lee's group (Thu. 7:40 AM at #10)...for cryin' out loud, she got stuck with Ariya Jutanugarn AGAIN?! The third is Charley Hull...hmm, if I'm downrange I better have my umbrella open as protection from Ariya & Charley UFOs. Hye Youn Kim is not in the field...I had assumed she was exempt, but maybe she bombed out in the Korean qualifier? Or she withdrew or she'll get in as a TBD?

Talk about the lack of equal rights from the 'blue coats' of the USGA. If they can have a 'chubby' group at the 2014 USO....why not the USWO?.....a grouping of SS Feng, Inbee & Salas.
If I was on the pairing committee you'd see: 1) the Kim, Parks & Lee's paired together 2) a grouping consisting of the Spanish Killer B's...Belen, Beatriz and Aza 3) Xtina with Bam Bam & Masson...and see what transpires...Xtina has had some dust-ups with the other two....hey the Koreans can monopolize drama....e.g.) K - Drama.
Any one else have some unique pairings?.....I know Phil will come up with a few.

Phil Did you hit up MHL for a weekly badge?....though unlikely unless MHL has some good contacts at the USGA. What days are you attending? I bet you could secure some deals on scalped tix's in the shuttle lot or near the gates.....I've seen scalpers at the 2010 USSO & this year at Chambers. I guess the practice rd tix are being dumped....some weekly pass holders trying to recoup some costs of days they won't be attending. Thx for the links. One of the links talks about grass....people complain too much about poa annua.....90% of greens out here are poa and if groomed properly...they are fine...even in the afternoon and evenings...I've played more than my far share of twilight.

Well, you could do some geographic groupings for the smaller golf powers that sent at least three players, such Mexico, Scotland, Sweden, France, and Canada . Holy moly, only two Habs in the field...we know about Brooke H...can mr3putt give us a scouting report on Christina Foster? The college angle is doable...you've got at least six UCLA Bruins. USC is a little short this year...just L. Salas and J. Song. Did I miss someone? How about a strawberry-blonde-out-of-a-bottle group of Meena Lee, Ji Young Oh, and Alison Lee? How about a "battleship" task force of Gulbis, Piller, and Pancake? ************** Regarding MHL, I sent her a brief FB message early this AM saying, "Play great at the USWO next week! I'll be attending Wednesday & Thursday...my last tournament of 2015. Good luck." I NEVER ask her for favors...if she replies with any offers later, that's fine, but I will be there regardless of that. I plan to buy my tickets at the gate...but better check the Will Call window first, just in case. Regarding ticket dumpers, I never thought of that, but I haven't seen it during my limited visits to past USWOs. For Saucon Valley in 2009, I went to the shuttle lot early Friday AM and didn't encounter anyone with tickets...I bought one at the front gate. For Sebonack in 2013, I bought the Friday ticket in advance...got to the shuttle lot so early that I was the only spectator on a bus filled with volunteers.

The description of each hole can be found below:www.2015uswomensopen.com/courseKevin If Lancaster is hard and fast....a 6850 par 70 is doable but never likely. I bet it never plays more than 6500-6550 on any given day....considering I gotta believe they'll also set up a drivable par 4. And let's not forget...there will be a lot of Am's.....so the weak Am's would look foolish at 6850 par 70.
