Charley Hull authored a lengthy article for the BBC. bbc.com/sport/golf/41324953It's terrific, the whole article should be read, but here are a few quotes. On Evian: When they called the meeting to tell us they were cancelling the opening round I actually had my headphones in so I wasn't listening and I needed to go to the toilet. When I came out everyone was like we're not playing anymore. The South Korean player So Yeon Ryu was annoyed because she was leading but others who were like four over were happy. On Solheim: While the team was playing, I just stayed in the golf club, eating popcorn and sleeping. I didn't want to go on the golf course, it was really hot. I just wanted to be inside and chill out. It was a long, tiring week. The golf was being shown on the TV in the club but I wasn't taking too much interest. I just thought, I'm not out there, I can't do anything, I can't affect their shots, so I'm just going to chill. On Americans: The American fans were fine. Some players were moaning about them, but I don't really listen to them. I just find it funny when they start cheering when we hit a bad shot. It's just a golf event. It's just a sport. You just go out there and play.

Charley would rather be clubbing than on a golf course. I don't blame her.

I like Charley Hull but her whole "I don't care" shtick has worn thin. This is a girl who told her "mates" not to come watch her at the WBO because golf is like, so nerdy or whatever. Maybe to millennials this sort of calculated indifference is cool but to this old guy, it's just grating.

I thought the article was fine but I'm ready for peak Charley, too. We can't be seeing it.

Ya gotta LUV Charley...no drama, plays the tips at home with her boy pals, drinks, goes clubbing, SWEARS, plays fast and plays BLADES...what's not to like. He doesn't travel much anymore...but Dave Hull is a MUST CHAT with at an event....I must have chatted with him for over 2 hrs over the span of the week at the 2015 CP CWO. He's the anti-BJ Wie...he's doesn't interfere with anything related to Charley's game...he says she's got to learn on her own. The only advise he provides tor her is to enjoy her youth and not get too burnt out travelling and playing competitive golf. Dave told me that Charley thinks that anyone who plays anything other that blades are a bunch of cheaters...she's the WRX DREAM GIRL.
