This video from a few years ago is an 8-minute English language piece from Korea talking about why the Koreans are so good, focusing on the domestic tours. Nice info about the KLPGA, and as a bonus, see some of the stars of 2013 whom you may recognize as stars even today!

I never really thought about how many players advanced from each tour. With only three players advancing, means they are pretty darn good.

It really shows how lame the US girls are.....it's so expensive to play golf in Korea....yet here in North America....golf can be kinda cheap with a lot of junior freebies when accompanied by an adult to play twilight golf, etc etc. Many private courses have programs to offer really skilled juniors...annual membership well under $1000/yr. And if a junior is that good...the private might offer a free playing and practice privileges. I hate seeing all the Korean beating balls on mats at the range...it's not grass....North American skilled junior don't have to slum on mats.

I would like to see this program do an update on the Dream Tour player at 4:05 - 4:43, who was age 18 in 2013. Seven hours of practice a day helped her get a promotion from the Dream Tour to the KLPGA big tour for 2014. So what happened after that? I had to look her up...her KLPGA handle is Min Jee Kim 5.
Year Starts Missed Cuts Top-tens 2014 25 8 2 (entered KLPGA q-school at end of year) 2015 28 10 1 2016 30 13 1 2017 19 8 2

"Reason #4: hair ribbons and selfies"
Note to American LPGA golfers: Yeah, I'm not seeing that one on the list.
